Shameless (S06E6): “NSFW”

Review:

Tonight’s episode had everyone in the Gallagher house still separated, seen as they all still don’t have a solution about where to stay.

Although its easy to say that Carl has definitely made himself very comfortable and at home in the hotel he’s staying at.  On the other hand, seems like Debbie is in the complete opposite direction, turns out Tyler’s wife Erika may be getting a little too close to Debbie if you ask me. Not that Frank minds at all, in the whole episode these two are trying to figure out how to make her position in this family permanent. Although out of all of this, the one thing that was good that came out of it, was to see Frank & Debbie’s relationship grow, its nice to seem him support her having the child, when at the moment, no one in here family does. So Debbie is going to have a girl!! the gender reveal party didn’t go as planned,  but thankfully they didn’t make us wait for this.

So I’ve got to say, at first I wasn’t really sure about how I felt about Fiona and Sean’s relationship, but after seeing them for a little while. As I have gotten to know his character a little more. I really enjoy what they have together, he’s really supportive of Fiona, and they work together, its nice to see that for her.

Meanwhile, Lip is dealing with the fallout of Helene’s picture being leaked, being called by the college  board, to discuss everything about their relationship. At the end of the nights things for Lip seemed quite depressing, things didn’t work in his favor, and I’m curious to see where this takes his character this season. Whereas Ian’s most stressing situation is to figure out what to wear on his first date ever. Which turns out that he had nothing to worry about, yeah the date seemed a little awkward to begin with but seems like at the end of the night Ian was happy, seems like he had the best night in tonight’s episode.

As it turns out the new owners of the Gallagher house aren’t impressed, which of course is great news for Fiona. But unfortunately turns out its not as easy as it may seem, with still being married and all. I knew that was the dumbest decision she ever made, its still taking a toll on her, she definitely needs to take care of that, although she did finally get the abortion she couldn’t stop talking about. I’m still not sure how she truly felt about it, but we did get a whole lot of honesty from her tonight. Whether she just wants to be there for them as a Sister, instead of Guardian. It most of been a shock for her, since it was the first time she’s ever said anything like that out loud.

Carl’s story tonight was tragic, none the less, turns out the whole Bike situation wasn’t just going to be brushed off like he thought it was going to be. It sucks that his friend hurt that little boy who stole his bike. Like Carl, I really want to know why, the psychology behind his mindset on why he did what he did, although I guess it probably had a lot to do with his father when he was young. Just goes to show that some things stick with you for longer than you might think.

But at least it got Carl thinking, which lead him back to Fiona. These final scenes were the best so far, after Gus blew Fiona off and made her wait days, he never even ended up signing. But her meltdown, hit home with Carl, and I’m glad that he helped out. I really am excited to see what happens next week.
