Batman: Bad Blood Movie Review (2016)

Holy Bat-Shit Craziness Batman! For a lot of DC Entertainment animation movies a lot of them can be titled as being ‘okay’ or a little on the mediocre side, but this latest installment from the Son of Batman animated movies this movie had lots of potential and can be counted as a origin story for at least one new character that we shall be seeing more of later down the line. The movie I am reviewing is Batman: Bad Blood!

In the film, we see Tusk (John DiMaggio), Firefly (Steve Blum), Mad Hatter (Robin Downes), Electrocutioner (Robin Downes), Killer Moth (Jason Spisak), and The Calculator (Jason Spisak) all waiting for a mysterious caller who gathered them up in information to how to kill the Batman (Jason `O Mara). But like always the bad guys are interrupted by a mysterious bat figure, but wait its not Batman! Instead we are introduced once again to Batwoman (Yvonne Strahovski) who interrupted the meeting by gunning down some of the bad guys until Batman interrupts the killing spree brought on by Batwoman; luckily no one died! That is until an unknown bad guy shows up to defeat Batman, a villain known as Heretic (Travis Willingham) but instead the Heretic makes an explosion seem to Batwoman as the death of Batman, but thats not the case everyone else knows that he has been kidnapped. Alfred (James Garrett) and Lucius Fox (Ernie Hudson) create a team with the heroes Damian Wayne aka Robin (Stuart Allen), Dick Grayson aka Nightwing (Sean Maher), Batwoman, and a new player known as Luke Fox aka Batwing (Gaius Charles) are all assigned to save the Batman before the evil mastermind Talia Al`Ghul (Morena Baccarin) can turn Batman and the entire world into the new League of Assassins; Will Team Bat be successful and save Batman? Or Will everyone die and the world will be doomed? Find out by watching the movie!

Truth be told, I have loved the Son of Batman movies so far from Son of Batman to Batman vs Robin to now Bad Blood, this animated series movies have taken a huge turn to making Batman stories way better than they ever were. And they also teased us at the very end of the movie with a guest appearance of Batgirl…I know amazing! Everyone suspected that Batgirl would be a huge part of this movie but instead she wasn’t but she will be a huge part of the next animated movie which will be Batman The Last Laugh! This movie though was amazing, the story fantastic! I would give this film a 5 out of 5 stars for such a wonderful story!

Batman: Bad Blood is now out on DVD and Blu-Ray, and Digital HD Download
