This week’s episode of Game of Thrones was highly anticipated after last weeks big plot twist. After that amazing episode, I expected a lot this week but compared to the first two episodes, this episode has definitely been the weakest. There were some major revelations but they were done in the usual slow manner that Game of Thrones have grown custom to.
Most important part last night was the battle Bran witnessed and more importantly, the scream Lyanna let out as Ned ran up to save his sister. Were those screams of a woman giving birth? Perhaps to Jon Snow or Jon Targaryen? Well, the producers are not letting us have the answers that easy and we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
Another huge twist is Jon and the betrayal he feels, which ultimately ends in him declaring his watch is over and handing over his Commander title. He walked off but surely he cant be wondering off into the night? He would need some clothing, a horse and food. I say this because his so close to finally reuniting with Sansa Stark, which is evident in the trailer for next week when we see Sansa enter through some gates, preferably Castle Blacks gates.
I saw a few people comment that Jon as Commander would not be able to lay claim to Winterfell or interfere in any battles. So now that his declared himself free and ended his watch, does this mean he’ll be helping the Starks take back Winterfell? Especially now that poor Rickon lays captive to Ramsey.
I swear the Starks have the worst luck but hopefully things will change soon and at least two Starks will come together. I am really enjoying this season so far because I feel like a lot is being revealed and the storyline finally feels like its really heading somewhere. Strong episode but not the best this season.
