Black-ish (S03E01): "VIP"

Review: Welcome back! The season premiere takes us to Walt Disney World! Determined to give his kids a better experience at Disney World than he ever had on vacation as a kid,  Dre gives his family the first-class VIP experience by going all out. With a first class flight and a VIP tour guide and everything. At first, the kids are slightly uncomfortable at getting such privileges like getting to skip lines and flaunting their VIP status in front of the non-VIPs, i.e. the common folk, but it doesn’t take long for them to get into it and start enjoying their special status…
A little too much. When their VIP tour guide leaves because his seven hours are up and Dre didn’t actually “buy” him like he keeps saying, the kids get upset that they’re now forced to wait in line like all the other people. Dre, now realizing that he’s created four monsters tells his little monsters that they’re dead to him and that he hates them. A+ parenting. But apparently it does the trick, because the kids come to their senses right in time for Junior to fall for a gorgeous girl Jedi while waiting in line, embarrass himself, get her number and then lose it on the ride.
Meanwhile, Bow’s trip at Disney World doesn’t seem as exciting at first. Being pregnant, she’s not allowed to go on all the cool rides and she’s stuck hanging out with Ruby and Pops. Ruby and Pops feel ridiculous about Dre’s VIP status, calling him ungrateful like they never worked their asses off to even be able to take him to Disney Land. Bow, Ruby and Pops quickly decide to call it a day and head back to the hotel. But while trying to find the exit to go back to their hotel, they end up having a better time than Dre and the kids. They go on the safer rides, buy a ton of stuff at the gift shops and there’s even a parade involved! Disney World the way it’s meant to be enjoyed!
Finally, Charlie is left to do Dre’s job back at work. What does this entail? Microsoft. If only Charlie knew what Microsoft is…
