The media and criminal law have a complicated relationship… the story of a salacious crime is a powerful tool to drive up news viewership numbers, while what’s being reported and how it’s portrayed can sway public perception of crimes and the parties involved. These facts are far from lost on news producer Julia George and criminal defense attorney Jake Gregorian, who have a relationship built on the ways they can benefit each other professionally. “Notorious” is inspired by true stories about Mark Gegaros and Wendy Walker, who also serve as executive producers.
Notorious sees like a fast paced show that has many story lines. I like how they intermingle with each other. I also like the dynamic between Julia and Jake. Usually on TV shows you would see press and the law staying away from each other but I like that they are producing the show like this. Another factor of Notorious I like is kind of seeing behind the scenes of both the law and a national news show. There were many twists and turns in the pilot episode. There definitely was not a boring moment at all with Notorious. When the episode ended it left me wanting to see more. I think it is a great start to a new series!
More to come on Notorious!
