I’m starting to get annoyed at the inconsistent nature of this show. Some moments are great, some are typical. Some episodes are good, some are sub-par. I want to say that they’re still finding their groove but I feel like I’ve used that excuse for this show already.
The episode started out with Dalton and MacGyver sitting outside an apartment they think belongs to Nikki. So guess who didn’t keep his promise to stop pursing Nikki? Yea. But MacGyver was also receiving texts from another woman so it looks like he’s trying to move on. The obsession, however, still exists. I don’t know if it’s because he loved her or his ego is bruised because she had and is continuing to outwit him.
She sent a woman to the apartment they were staking out to give MacGyver a key. By the end of the episode he is seen trying different locks in Nikki’s apartment hoping to open something with the key. He is unsuccessful but vows to keep trying; a promise we know he’ll keep.
This episode takes place on a train because they have to keep a witness safe on her journey to Frankfurt. MacGyver is a little smitten by the witness, much to the amusement of Dalton. They do keep the witness safe of course, after pulling some MacGyver magic to stop the train from smashing into the train station.
Buss laugh moment of this episode: “Everyone’s got a plan till they get punched in the mouth.” I found it pretty funny when MacGyver quoted Tyson and then slapped his car. Like, ok MacGyver, we get it, you’re angry, spanking your car will only amuse us, not find Nikki.
Punched in the feels moment of this episode: None.
Made me ponder for a sec moment of this episode: None.
I was pretty underwhelmed by this episode.
