Once Upon A Time: (S06E06) “Dark Waters”

Review:

It has only been six episodes since this season started and we already got a Hook-centered episode. I wonder how many more untold stories Hook has. I’m not hating on him but I think it’s best if we give other characters untold stories, Zelena for example. She’s been shadowing for the Evil Queen since the beginning. It’s time for the other character’s untold stories.

Honestly, I’m not familiar with the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. I thought the Nemo name of the captain was based on the famous clown fish but I think it’s the other way around. It was nice of the show to feature something from 1870 and connect it to the story. The importance of family is highlighted in this episode. We learned Hook’s reason why he kept the shears because he didn’t want the Charming family to break just like what happened to his family. Henry didn’t like that Hook betrayed what his mom want and he was so angry at Hook. But at some point, Henry and Hook worked out their misunderstandings.

In the other news, Emma helped Jasmine to convince Aladdin to help her to save Agrabah. There’s more untold story about this and I’m sure we’ll see in the future episodes.

Regina helped Snow and David free Archie from Zelena’s house. One thing I noticed was Regina’s purple smoke. I thought Regina’s power color was changed to red so she’ll be distinguished from the Evil Queen. I don’t know if it’s just me who think that Regina is becoming a shadow to everyone. I can’t wait for Regina to level-up and be one step ahead of her other half.

The Evil Queen was still on her mission to break the Charming family. I love her persistence even though it’s evil. You can actually learn from her that failures is just a phase and you just need to keep going. Just like what she said, “know what you want and go after it”. Giving up is never an option.

And of course, the Evil Queen was still not over what she really wants, Snow White’s heart. Forgiveness is not her strong suit and that’s what makes her who she is. I just don’t know how they are going through with this.

And also, I am not really a fan of the Evil Queen kissing Gold. After the Evil Queen’s seducing, Gold finally gave in. It was just fifty shades of wrong in so many levels. Many people, not only me, didn’t like it. I hope it will not progress in the next episodes.
