So after Hayes decided to spout on about her privilege in the last episode she decided she needed a case that would help prove her little rant correct. She went after the case that had a “have against a have not” angle.
The person found guilty of murdering a wealthy white woman was a poor man that worked for the wealthy family. He said he didn’t do it. At first the team thought maybe the gardener did it because they found a bloody shoe print that matched his shoe. However, after the murder weapon conveniently showed up in the gardener’s van, the team spelled something fishy.
They say a little video that showed the victim’s son planting the knife in the van. After the son and the father blamed the guy in jail for manipulating the son, the team went back to the guy in jail. When he heard that the son blamed him entirely he took the hit. Cue more fishy smells. Turns out that the guy in jail and the son were lovers. They killed the mom because she didn’t want them together. Not because they were gay but because the guy in jail was poor.
Her brother eventually forgives but the DA does not. He hired her ex-girlfriend to be his attorney. Cue burn.
Buss laugh moment of this episode: Hayes rolling into her meeting casual Tuesday…aka pajama ready.
Punched in the feels moment of this episode: Guy in jail realizing that he was used to murder someone by someone who has either moved on or didn’t love him to begin with.
Made me ponder for a sec moment of this episode: n/a My brain is too burned out from this election.
