An American track-and-field coach’s trip to Russia forces Kirkman into a hostage exchange involving the CIA and the Russian government; Agent Wells and Deputy Director Atwood’s investigation uncovers dangerous information.
This week we see President Kirkman being pulled in multiple directions. Tom has to deal with a reporter finding out that Leo is not his biological son, the death of Nassar and with Coach Weston. I think he handled everything this week very well. After Tom’s team tries to get Weston free from Russia they find out something huge he was hiding from them.
While Tom is dealing with all that craziness Deputy Director Atwood has to deal with a lot with this episode too. He is trying to figure out who killed Nassar, How MacLeish is tied to the Capitol bombing and his missing son. When he finds out his son is missing he jumps to an obvious conclusion, he was kidnapped. He has no proof his son was taken but he is assuming it because of the mysterious way Nassar was murdered. He was killed because he knew too much and talked to the FBI, now Justin and Hannah fear they are in danger now too. With all this happening Hannah has become more paranoid on her walk to her car, but she does find a very useful piece of information. She tries to call Justin but he doesn’t answer. While he looks for his son he meets the person who took his son. If he wants his son home alive he needs to follow all the instructions the kidnapper gives him.
