Even though the demons seem to be multiplying at an alarming rate, there is an ally who is swiftly working to extinguish the threat. The cardinal has been crossed off the list but there are surely those who will continue to rise up in the ranks. The army is infinite and they will not be swayed.
Things are unsettled on the island. Andy (John Cho) is working to come to an understanding with what is happening to his family and the mysterious events that keep appearing. Shelby (Alex Barima) echoes the warning about not going in the woods, there is something evil lurking in the shadows, and prayer is not going to save them this time.
Tomas (Alfonso Herrera) and Marcus (Ben Daniels) have reached their destination, Seattle has called to them and they have answered. A quiet neighborhood and a picturesque house open into a world of and Tomas to bring her back into the light. The urge to go against protocol, especially when it comes to a child, weighs heavily on Tomas.
Father Bennet (Kurt Egyiawan) finally comes face to face with the mysterious woman, Mouse (Zuleikha Robinson). She will be his greatest ally in the war to come. They may be outnumbered but if they join forces they will have a chance. She has inside information and the knowledge to defeat these otherworldly creatures.
Rose ends up at Harper’s home, for a child welfare check. It’s interesting how small of a world it seems to be. Everything is connected, and nothing is coincidence. It adds to the depth of the story-line in this series. Between Tomas’s visions of what is to come and the uneasy atmosphere, things are about to get messy.
Life is not up to normal standards with the “Andy” clan. Even though they strive to find some sort of normalcy, there is something evil lurking at the back of their thoughts. Waiting for the right moment to strike. The sky is blanketed by thousands of crows, who meet their untimely demise crashing into their home. This bizarre event cannot be ignored. Perhaps Andy’s dead wife didn’t kill herself, it was something darker.
Tomas and Marcus have stumbled upon the truth about Harper. She has been drugged by her mother for years, convincing her that she has been possessed, when it has been induced this whole time. Clearly unhinged, it seems as though they have been lured into some sadistic world. It’s unsettling the lengths this “loving” mother went through for a mock possession, sometimes pure evil rests in the hearts of a loved one. This is why there are rules put in place before an exorcism can be preformed. Tomas may have a lot more to learn, but Marcus will guide him the best way he can.
Evil is coming, and it will not bow down to anyone. The perfect storm is brewing.
The Exorcist airs on FOX every Friday at 9/8c.
