So this episode was really good but it also leads to an ending I didn’t see coming, this episode really tugged at my heartstrings when it came to Vanessa (Kelly Overton) and Dylan (Hannah Cheramy) scenes. Why did that ending have to happen, why? Lets get to this review before I cry, I just might cry while writing this review!
So in this episode, we had revealed to us Julius (Aleks Paunovic) vampire birth story, which I have to say; what Julius was doing before he became a vampire was really noble. Fighting for money to try and save his mother in a horrible time to live timeline, I mean seriously the hospitals back in those time era’s sucked! But then Julius made a deal with the devil or vampire devil Dimitri (Paul Johansson) and was able to save mommy dearest at a cost.
But now we are going to be getting a new Julius on the series now, one that has been reborn again just back to humans this time. And I think this is going to be really interesting to see him as a human who’s trying to atone for all the wrongs he’s done. It has spin-off material possible, but I do think if Julius sticks around with Vanessa (Kelly Overton) that he will be able to atone for his sins and be able to do more like help Vanessa over what happened in the ending of this episode but I will get to that in a bit.
But with the group that Flesh (Vincent Gale) and Lucky (Andrea Ware) came across is the exact same group that threw out Doc (Rukiya Bernard) because she was trying to steal a little something for a friend. But I seriously think that Flesh should’ve taken Mohammad’s (Trezzo Mahoro) about not trusting anyone because seriously this guy has way too much trust in everyone. Maybe it’s my time in watching the Walking Dead that has made me not want to trust every new person we meet in a new apocalypse story based television show.
With the adventures of Doc and Vampire Axel (Jonathan Scarfe) is definitely getting interesting, with now Axel having to fight and fight the urge to drink blood. It’s getting harder for Axel to fight it with every mile they go to try to find Vanessa. I think Doc needs to find Vanessa and hurry up before Axel loses control and possibly kill Doc. I mean who knows if Doc could ever be changed back into a vampire but I guess we will have to find out.
We also found out that vampire Sam (Christopher Heyerdahl) has been trying to find a Mohammad replacement and he just might’ve found one in this new kid named Felix. I don’t know what it is about that name Felix, but I can never take it seriously, maybe its because of my time watching as a kid Felix the cat. But Sam is one sick vampire keeping all of those juvenile kids locked up to be picked off one by one like a feeding camp.
Back with Vanessa, Dylan, and Julius, we see that doctor cuckoo pants must’ve been wrong about Dylan in some ways. She didn’t die being bitten by Vanessa, although when Dylan wasn’t waking up at first it really did tug at my heartstrings making me cry at this scene thinking that Dylan was going to die and Vanessa was going to have to live with that for the rest of her life. But I was happy that she was able to live and be happy with Vanessa.
It wasn’t until morning came and Vanessa, Dylan, and Julius were having a snowball fight. Yes you heard me a snowball fight, and it was the happiest moment that Dylan will ever know, it wasn’t too long after that Dylan started burning up like how the vampires do. Dylan then turned into ash in Vanessa’s arms, when Dylan died that made me cry, even more, I’m pretty sure I threw a box of tissues at my TV even because of that scene. Vanessa then releases a horrific scream/call to all that she had turned back into human which reveals that everyone that shes turned back into a human, they are connected now to Vanessa. Which makes me wonder if Vanessa gives in to her vampire side, does this mean that everyone she turned back to normal goes back to being vampires? I guess we will have to wait and see.
