So this episode wasn’t all that great, sure there were some good parts and comical parts in this episode but overall it didn’t have the same feel as it did with the first four episodes. I have a feeling that ABC Studios told the creator of the show to tone down the show or make at least some filler episodes so the ratings don’t go over the roof, which I’m sad to know that ABC Studios is hoping this series fails in ratings. They don’t even want to renew this series because of the budget but they should’ve known it would be that certain budget especially with the amount that it takes to animate Lockjaw!
We begin where we left off with this episode, Black Bolt (Anson Mount) and Medusa (Serinda Swan) reunited and being driven by Louise (Ellen Woglom) who is still very curious about the royals. We also have a regenerated Mordis (Bridger Zadina) who is back on the hunt for Black Bolt and picked up a hostage along the way.
While Crystal (Isabelle Cornish) takes Lockjaw to teleport her and Dave (Chad Buchanan) along the island to try to find everyone else so they all can go home together. But along the way teleporting, Crystal starts seeing a side to humanity that she has never seen before and it intrigues her or at least I think it does. Dave even tells her that not all humans are bad, there are some that are good and some that are bad but it still fascinates and makes Crystal curious about all of it.
When Mordis’s little hostage burns his bonds and tries running away but then gets tied up all over again. Mordis then gets word from Auran (Sonya Balmores) even though Auran wants to kill the doctor that was about to experiment on her but Maximus (Iwan Rheon) commands Auran to not kill the doctor and to not kill Black Bolt. Auran meets up with Mordis and their prisoner in hopes this prisoner takes them to Black Bolt.
Like how I said this episode really wasn’t all that great this week, I was really impressed with the first 4 episodes but I feel like this is where the studio wants the series to fail. Lets hope I’m wrong and this was just a filler episode that had to happen so the first season could be a total eight episodes. I think this might be the shortest review I’ve done for this series so far which is sad.
