Van Helsing (S02E04) "A Home"

This series man, every episode gets better and better just like how it was back in Season 1. This season has had many great moments already and of course a really sad moment during last episode but this episode it had a lot of awesome and messed up parts to it but I truly enjoyed it just as I always do.
So in this episode it was focused on a lot like how Sam (Christopher Heyerdahl) trying to turn Felix (Bzhaun Rhoden) into the new Mohammad; I mean that is just wrong cause there’s only one Mohammad (Trezzo Mahoro) and he’s currently fighting for his life. I have to be honest though, Sam has gotten a lot creepier this season. Don’t get me wrong Christopher Heyerdahl always has that creepiness to his acting, but he’s so good at it.
We also saw how Vanessa (Kelly Overton) is dealing with Dylan’s (Hannah Cheramy) death. Which that opening scene of us seeing Vanessa going full throttle on killing those vampires in the beginning of the episode was bad ass! I truly loved seeing Berzerker Vanessa again in my opinion I think we need to see more of that in future episodes cause it makes her more and more badass.
I can understand Julius (Aleks Paunovic) concern about Vanessa though, and I like how he is acting like a body guard towards Vanessa even though she doesn’t need one. I mean at least it gives him some kind of purpose and I like that, I can definitely see new Julius going a long way in this series. I just hope nothing bad happens to this guy, he has proven himself to be quite useful and badass as well.
And I’m glad that my suspicions were right about what happened during that scream that Vanessa let out when she lost Dylan. Like I had suspicions that the scream affected the ones Vanessa turned either by their heart or by their soul to where they felt Vanessa’s pain. Which is pretty interesting, if the people Vanessa turned back to human are connected emotionally then are they connected fully? It’d be interesting to know in future episodes.
So we meet newer group in this episode and I have to say that I don’t trust this leader of the group Mike (Phil Burke) he just seems like the kind of guy who is really shady. And seems like he has more than one agenda upon his sleeves but I guess we will find out soon enough. I mean I understand that they are trying to help these kids but to turn them into warriors just seems wrong, and I never trust new people at first that are introduced within an episode and live cause you know they are up to no good eventually.
In the adventures of Doc (Rukiya Bernard) and Vampire Axel (Jonathan Scarfe), Axel started losing control of his vampire self this time and requested for Doc to tie him to the tree. I mean what good really are those ropes going to do? I’m pretty sure Axel’s vampire self can find the strength to burst out of those ropes and then be a hunter hunting Doc which would be bad. I mean I don’t want Doc to die, she needs to live and so does Axel.
Overall this episode was really good and I can’t wait for the next episode to air next week!
