Okay this episode was literally a treat to us on this Hallow’s Eve, this was literally a true treat! We had a guest appearance from Machete himself Danny Trejo; just seeing his scary self on this episode is such an honor in itself cause that guy is a fantastic actor. I maybe praising him right now but I don’t care, he was a guest on the show and he deserves to be praised!
So this episode we were mainly focused on two characters in their stories, the first is Cisco (Carlos Valdes) meeting Gypsy’s (Jessica Camacho) father Breecher (Danny Trejo) who is just truly angered and hateful against Cisco. How can you be angered and hateful towards Cisco, he’s hilarious and has amazing movie references and has a bubbly personality. After Gypsy saves Cisco from Breecher’s death grip the first time around, Cisco asks Harry (Tom Cavanagh) about how to charm Breecher; Harry gives Cisco the idea to invite Breecher to have coffee with him and Gypsy. When Cisco takes the two of them for coffee only to learn that Breecher hates coffee. Breecher gives Cisco a proposition if Breecher can hunt down and catch Cisco then Cisco has to break up with Gypsy. But if Cisco wins then Cisco and Gypsy stay in a relationship; Breecher gives Cisco a head start to run away.
The second story it focuses on in this episode is a washed up private investigator Ralph Dibny aka The Elongated Man (Hartley Sawyer) and Barry (Grant Gustin) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) finding out about Ralph being affected by the dark matter from the bus. Ralph is literally the kind of guy that is a major dick before he became a hero. And the Elongated Man is also known as Plastic Man for those of you who know the comics Plastic Man is an important hero with the Justice League. And the name is even thrown out there but of course they are going with the first name that the hero goes by which is Elongated Man. But in the show, Ralph is literally the worst person to ever be seen as a hero. And it literally took this whole episode to make Ralph even a contestant of becoming a hero.
I really thought it was interesting that Barry immediately titled all 12 who were affected by the dark matter from that bus as Villains. Its a new page turner for Barry to do especially since the last 3 years he’s had faith in all humanity. But ever since he got out of the speed force and has been reborned he now has a new judge to humanity and to people of his past like Ralph Dibny.
Cisco ends up having major fails through running away from Cisco, it wasn’t until Cisco hides and has Breecher look at a video footage of Dibny that makes Breecher be reminded of evil stretchers that are throughout the multiverse that destroy things. Its not until Cisco is willing to sacrifice his life to save Dibny. I mean if that wouldn’t of impressed Breecher I don’t think anything would’ve but Breecher does throw down a little name, Gypsy’s real name is Cynthia which I would’ve never guessed. I would’ve always thought Gypsy’s real name would’ve been like Julia or something like that. But now I’m wondering what kind of breech situation did both father and daughter have to go investigate on. Guess we will never know.
And the next episode is going to be one that we are not going to want to miss out on, cause we get the amazing Katee Sackhoff on the next episode as a villain and she’s gonna make evil look so sexy!
