Van Helsing (S02E05) "Save Yourself"

This episode satisfied me to a level of deep satisfaction, if that makes any sense. Every episode is literally becoming better and better and I am loving every single moment that is shown on these episodes. Theres quite a lot of questions like will Syfy renew the series; What is the red door? Who is this mysterious masked hero who saved Mohammad that one time? Why does Dimitri (Paul Johansson) need an army so bad? Will Sam (Christopher Heyerdahl) start hunting down the real Mohammad (Trezzo Mahoro) to keep as a pet? Only Time will tell now lets get to this review!
This episode was mainly focused on Vanessa (Kelly Overton) hunting down Vampire Sam (Christopher Heyerdahl) to fix her mistakes one little bit at a time. And today was trying to kill Sam, but of course there were challenges along the way. And we also finally had realization from Vanessa, that everyone she turned back to human are all connected. I mean you could see it in her eyes when she heard Julius (Aleks Paunovic) say he’s been having the same visions as her.
I was always wondering how the fight between Sam and Vanessa would go down, but I never thought that she would have such hard problem from a tall guy whose a major psycho. But I’m also really impressed with how well Julius handled himself when it came to the big showdown with Sam. I really thought he was going to go ballistic when he heard from Sam about murdering his mother. And all this time Julius thought it was Dimitri’s (Paul Johansson) men that killed his mom. But at least Julius knows the truth now and when Sam comes back, Julius will be ready to help kick ass.
Besides that we did see some lucky (pun intended) action with Flesh (Vincent Gale) and Lucky (Andrea Ware) they started kissing, and making out and soon will come the sex…Too soon? I always knew something was going to happen between the two of them. I just had that strong feeling that love will blossom between Flesh and Lucky after all she is a lucky girl. Anyone would be lucky enough to have Flesh, am I right? Even Mohammad (Trezzo Mahoro) was impressed by Flesh and Lucky being all lovey dovey between each other. We all saw that impressed look he had on his face and we all agree, Flesh is one lucky guy and Lucky is one lucky lady.
I thought it was interesting that Vanessa took that big risk to tell Felix (Bzhaun Rhoden) about how she takes blood to hone in her abilities. But then again Felix would do anything to help to make sure Sam gets killed especially after he got his tongue cut out by Sam. I mean that was just wrong and torturous and I feel bad for that kid cause now he’s going to have to learn how to sign language cause he has no tongue or carry around a giant notebook and write down everything he wants to say. Either way Felix is going to have a hard time throughout the rest of his time on this show.
And now the big question is when will Sam resurface and when will Vanessa and Sam have their next battle between each other? I’m sure we all are wondering when that will be, but overall this episode was fantastic and I can’t wait for the next episode!
