Alright so with our one week hiatus all of us fans of the series were expecting for a fantastic episode. And I can say that we definitely got what we needed an episode to kick our asses back into high gear to wait every week for another great episode! Lets get to this crazy review cause there literally was a lot of crazy in this one!
So with this episode we started off right where we left off a couple weeks ago, Axel (Jonathan Scarfe), Julius (Aleks Paunovic), Doc (Rukiya Bernard), and Scarlett (Missy Peregrym) all wake up from when they were knocked out by that arrival of the helicopter. Only these strangers kidnapped Vanessa (Kelly Overton) but what do they want with her? What are they going to do to her? I guess we all have to continue to keep watching to find out which is the fun part. But with this episode we got one thing I was always wondering if the creators would ever bring to this apocalypse series and that is crazy rednecks; and my wondering has been answered we got crazy rednecks.
One thing that always gives us a lot of humor when it comes to apocalyptic series’s are redneck crazies cause they always think they know everything but really don’t know anything. And this guy Walt (Tom McBeath) is definitely going on my high list of crazy redneck people. Like seriously, he was literally willing to kill all of Team Vanessa just because he didn’t believe them saying that she turned them back to human. And they want to cook and eat humans who used to be vampires, if thats not crazy redneck behavior then I don’t know what is.
This series always delivers in high expectations and I hope it never ends, every episode gives us more and more to wait for. And I have a feeling that those crazy rednecks are not going to live at the beginning of next episode cause the way how they disrespected the sisterhood, it ain’t going to end well for them. They are going to feel what it means to be burned but burned by vampires now that would be interesting and karma to those crazies.
I also have to say the more we delve into Scarlett (Missy Peregrym) developing her abilities we start learning more about her. Like how does she know the sisterhood? When in her time of kicking ass did she come across them? All of these are good questions that we need answered in like a comic book series or a series of novels or an anime series or something. I’m sure a lot of people can agree with me on that! I mean it would be pretty cool, just saying though!
I have to say though Big Mama (Yvette Dudley-Nueman) was literally creepy, I’m pretty sure if she would’ve lived that her and Sam (Christopher Heyerdahl) would’ve gotten along pretty well, maybe even became psychotic lovers. I mean you never know especially in the world of Van Helsing. But sadly Big Mama met her end in this episode by Julius’s hands, but thats okay I’m sure there are other ways of making Sam happy. Not saying he isn’t happy with poor Mohammad kidnapped by him. Overall this episode was a fantastic episode and I just can’t wait to see what is in store for Team Vanessa next!
