Legends of Tomorrow(S03E12): "The Curse of the Earth Totem"

Alright, this episode was really good and for one part of the episode all I can say is it was about time those two kiss but I will get to that in a little bit. All I can say is that this was a great episode and we will get to why it was right now for the review starts now…Argh!

So we had this episode fully focused on the year 1717 which anyone who knows the time around when Pirates ruled the seas you will know that this episode is all focused on pirates! And we had pirates everywhere, they threw in Black Beard which I was pretty much like “what the hell?” when I saw Black Beard cause they made him as a wuss who only hoped people feared him by his name cause it had “Black” in the name. Which is kinda racists, maybe Black Beard is the one that started racism in the Legends timeline. It would make sense a pirate starts racism and the land people steal it from him and only plaster his picture on a alcohol bottle.

Now with such a title as Curse of the Earth Totem, I was really wondering what the powers of the Earth totem would be. Cause they never showed you the power of the Earth totem in Vixen animated series. So seeing the power of the Earth totem in this episode it makes me see that Poison Ivy would definitely give that Earth totem a run for it’s true power money. I mean they did pretty much show a version of Poison Ivy with the pirate that possessed the totem. I mean did you see those vines being moved like how Poison Ivy would with her own abilities. Lets hope who ever ends up possessing the totem next does a better job than that evil pirate in the 1717 era!

Next we had Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) take up a major role in the episode as a pirate queen who changed quite a lot especially the name of Captain Rum bottles to Captain Awye, which actually does kinda sound better. It gives that alcohol now a mystery to the bottle even though we will always know its Amaya on the bottle. And we also had Amaya and Heatwave (Dominic Purcell) stuck in 1717 because Ray (Brandon Routh) and Nate (Nick Zano) got the ship lost in the devil’s triangle and then had to blast back to Star City 2018.

Meanwhile, we had Sara (Caity Lotz) on a romantic date with Ava (Jes McCallan) in Star City 2018. And yes it truly was a romantic date, both of them were having great times together and Sara was actually able to be herself without making the love connection a one night stand which I’m sure she’s had enough of doing so. Lets hope that this ship for the relationship can be enough to keep Sara from having to ever try finding love with anyone else ever again. But I guess we will have to see where that relationship goes with the two. And those two finally kiss, we all have been like “oh for the love of god just kiss already” and we finally got our wish!

We also got our first taste of Wally West/Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale) working with Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) to help him get back to the Legends. I sure hope we get it to were Wally finally joins with the Legends and realizes how much of a thrill it really is to be apart of a team that will actually appreciate his skills. After all thats why he ran away from Team Flash after Jesse Quick (Violett Beane) dumped him with a break up cube how dare she. But at least Wally finally had fun with someone who was in dire need of needing fun in his life.

Now that the Legends are reunited will the Legends be able to successfully rescue Ray from Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and Nora Darhk (Courtney Ford)? Find out in the next episode!
