Five Australians from Brisbane board a luxury yacht and set sail for Indonesia. The friends are heading off to enjoy a sun-soaked holiday and haven’t a care in the world. But a chance encounter is about to change everything when they cross paths with a fishing boat overloaded with asylum seekers en route to Australia.
The friends decide to tow the refugees, but when they wake the next morning the fishing boat is gone. Five years later they learn the truth – someone cut the rope between the two boats, with tragic consequences.
The four-part miniseries begins Wednesday on SBS Australia.
