This episode was indeed interesting, I really liked that they gave us answers about a certain character’s origins. And it really did throw me for a loop cause the whole character’s origin I was thinking something completely different but this origins works too. I will talk a lot about who I’m saying as “character” in a bit for the review. There was a lot of fun but sad moments as well in this episode and we will touch on those as well, lets get to the review though!
So in this episode geeky, nerdy, weird Gary (Adam Teskhman) got in touch with the Legends because Ava (Jes Macallan) was missing from her office for quite a while. Sara (Caity Lotz) and Ray (Brandon Routh) accompanied Gary to investigate where Ava might’ve went. When Ava returned, Sara wanted to find out more about the time bureau by finding out where Ava has been going. When they find a clue about a no fly zone to the timeline 2213; Sara, Ray, and Gary go to 2213 only to find something very fishy. There were hundreds, thousands, even world dominating amounts of Ava’s everywhere.
So yeah, we found out a major detail; Ava is a clone and she didn’t even know it. Apparently 2213’s Ava corporation took DNA’s from all attractive and strong women throughout the many, many, many years throughout the world. Ava corporation chose to clone Ava’s to be the better human being and pretty much dominate the world with only one woman. Which is crazy! I really thought that Ava’s origin was going to be something like her being Sara’s future daughter. I mean you have to admit the whole theory that I had of Ava being Sara’s daughter would’ve made sense especially with how the two of them always got along and how they always seemed like they were close. But I guess this origin makes sense as well. I wonder if one of the DNA’s the corporation took though was from Sara? You never know people!
Sadly Ava never knew that she was a clone and when she found out, even she was shocked about the whole situation and just couldn’t believe it. But we did see some cool scenes with Ava and Sara kicking Ava’s clone asses! But at least everyone now knows the truth but now they want to know why did Rip keep the origins secret from Ava herself? But I guess we will find out answers by next weeks episode!
We also had a death in tonights episode, poor Kuasa (Tracy Ifachor) she sacrificed herself to save Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Nate (Nick Zano) and Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale). But at least Kuasa, who I really have not liked this whole season; because I always felt like she was going back to her old ways of hate and darkness to try to become the greatest villain. Like how she was doing back on the Vixen animated series, but just like the animated series of Vixen, a one last ditch effort that Kuasa makes turns her to sacrificing herself as a hero once again. I mean sure Kuasa had her issues, still bragging about not being the right barer of the animal totem. You would think that she would’ve gotten over it after dying saving her sister back in the animated series. But now Mallus (John Noble) has the water totem! Lets hope that the legends can get the water totem back so that they can get all six totems together for when they have to face off against Mallus.
