Okay everybody this episode was huge, hugely awesome! This literally was a game changer in the series especially for our lovable Caitlin Snow which I have a theory about but I will get to that in a little bit. First lets get to the review which we had a lot of moments on there that were awesome moments! Lets get to this review!
So on this episode Devoe (Neil Sandilands) finally stopped mopping around because of Marlize/The Mechanic (Kim Engelbrecht) leaving him; Devoe needed only one last thing the last bus meta’s power for the battery for the satellites. When Devoe goes to the Argus base it makes you think that Diggle (David Ramsey) is coming there at first only to reveal that Devoe shape-shifted into Diggle that jerk, trying to get the poor guy in trouble with his wife in Star City how dare he. When Devoe enters the base he goes on a full massacre on the guards in the facility and leaves only a few guards still alive along with a doctor as hostages. Team Flash feels like they need to start planning a way to help the hostages but to also catch Devoe through one of his pocket dimension holes.
Cisco (Carlos Valdes) thinks of an idea to get him, Barry/ The Flash (Grant Gustin), and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) into Flashtime to make sure to save the hostages but to also gain enough speed with the electric explosive floors to speed him through the pocket dimension portal. Barry at first agrees to train the two, but after Caitlin gets hurt and the suppresses a memory from her childhood, she then chooses to want to help even more. When the team chooses to act on it through the base, everything goes according to plan. Barry even stops the satellites from orbiting into space. Which only gave Devoe to reveal what his true intentions are to do to the human minds, he plans to enlighten humanity by erasing intelligence, erasing emotion, erasing memories all of this so that they can learn what Devoe wants them to learn and nothing else. So in a way he wants to turn them into mindless robots kind of like the Daleks from Doctor Who. Eventually Devoe gained access to Gideon (Morena Baccarin) which is Future Barry’s pride and joy creation and now turned against him poor Gideon can’t get a break that she can’t.
I have to say though Cecile (Danielle Nicolet) was literally experiencing different symptoms of the abilities she has she has now become something of a empath and telepath all in one which is most likely due to the baby but still seeing her empath channel the mind of that pizza delivery guy was hilarious. And then her channeling of Caitlin and Joe was hilarious, I loved those moments of the episode.
Now for that memory that Caitlin suppressed, when we learn in the episode that Caitlin as a child was able to turn from herself to Killer Frost when she was about to get hurt means that she was never affected by the particle accelerator. My theory is that it’s going to kinda go into her actual comic book story a little bit which will be interesting, but I have a theory that maybe Caitlin’s mother had done some cyro-genesis experiments on herself when she first found out that she was pregnant with Caitlin which after the pregnancy forced Caitlin to have the abilities and her mother having nothing which then her mother probably thought the experiments were a failure and thus Killer Frost was born. Maybe thats why Caitlin was never allowed to have friends when she was a kid, cause she didn’t know yet how to fully control the Killer Frost side. Whatever they might find out it will be interesting to find out!
