The season finale of Life In Pieces was as memorable as the rest of the episodes, but leaves a shocker. Here’s a recap!
The first half hour “Video Piercing Model Hangover” was as hilarious with moments you would want to rewatch over again. Whether its trying to get Matt and Colleen to send “Thank You” cards but turned into a video message. Or Sophia debating her parents to get her ears pierce, which would lead to having Tim out doing her.
But the winner for this episode goes to John being a model for the senior citizen’s gadgets. And Jen and Greg, waking up after a hangover from school auction, sees their daughter doing stuff buy herself. It leads to Greg and Jen to have more time, which lead to Jen being pregnant.
The second half hour “Sixteen Spanish Car Leak” was just as hilarious as the first and probably even better. I think Matt and Colleen won this episode with their storyline of having a baby. After learning about their surrogate is pregnant and it’s not theirs; it leads them trying to buy a new car. But instead, they announced at Sam’s sixteen birthday that they’re gonna adopt. Which ruined by Jen’s pregnancy announcement from Lark.
Speaking of Sam’s sixteen birthday, thinking that her family forgot her birthday, she spends the day with her boyfriend. But when Sam and her boyfriend got to her house, it was about to turn into a night of first. But her parents and family caught every word when she walked into the house to surprise her. Guess the surprise was on both of them.
But just before the party, Joan wanted her and John to explore and tried to learning Spanish for their Spain trip. But instead of just using an app to help translate, they tried to learn it the old fashion way, which made a nightmare at a Spanish market. They went with a translating app.
The season finale was just as hilarious and memorable as the rest of the episodes before. With a strong ensemble cast and writing, it’s why this show is one of the best family sitcoms on television. The ending of the episode with everything going on it leaves you satisfied with smiles. Plus playing to the song “Listen to the Music” by The Doobie Brothers made it even better. After such an amazing hilarious and heartwarming moments this season I can’t wait for season 4 (even if it’s coming in mid-season next season). Overall, I give this episode a 9/10 and the season a 9.5/10.
