With only days left until the release of the Sense8 special episode, Netflix has started to their print promotion up across the globe. The movie length episode, directed by Lana Wachowski, is due to release June 8th. An apt date as the show centered around 8 people from around the world with connections so intense they feel each other’s love, excitement, and pain. To call them telepathic would be a bit of an understatement.
Fans from around the world have been campaigning for more promotion centered around the show to gain viewership needed for more seasons. It’s due to campaigns such as these that Sense8 was granted its second season, and consequently, this special episode. While it is dubbed by Netflix as it’s Finale, Fans are yet to be convinced of it, and the continue to campaign for not just the promotion we’re now seeing, but for a 3rd, 4th and 5th season as well.
Spotted in the same weekend and city as it’s Chicago Finale Premier, Sense8 fan Kate Maas snapped a photo of what might be the first billboard seen to promote this extra-long episode. Shortly after, a bus stop sign was noticed by Davidson Chagas of Brazil. At the Premier, Lana would not comment directly on the possibility of more seasons, but she did emphasize that she “will never give up on love.” In this humble bloggers opinion, Sense8 embodies the entirety of love. Extrapolate what you will.
