Okay guys and gals we had another great episode and boy it was a good one, so we also had a new character brought to the episode which seems to be an awesome character but we will get to that in a little bit! But we will be talking about some of the important parts of the episode and talking a little bit about what we thought of the episode, but lets get to the review!
So, in this episode we saw how Kara/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) reacts to being in that armor like suit that is keeping her on life support while the air gets cleared of all kryptonite and truth be told it seems like it’s going to be an interesting suit. It’s just weird seeing it like a space suit kind of design you know, but at the same time it seems like it works to help Kara in her superhero business or so it seems, but if it’s damaged then she is at risk with the air, so it wasn’t so much of a great advantage for the field. But what if Kara chooses to keep the suit for the rest of the season? If she does then we need some kind of new helmet for the final suit. But I like how the suit’s helmet kind of does calculations for Kara which was a cool, but at the same time I’m glad that the air became habitable for Kara, it would’ve been weird if she ended up missing out on work at Cat co for like a whole lot of episodes you know. Some might wonder where she was all that time, if you know what I mean.
In this episode we were introduced to this version of Manchester Black (David Ajala) which I had a few speculations that he might show up soon especially when they showed the picture of Fiona’s (Tiya Sircar) boyfriend at her place, but I had no idea that it would be Manchester Black! And in this episode we saw who he was before he became the comic book version of the vigilante that he becomes from the comics. Which it’s interesting that they had created a origin story for him in this season and that he is now going to be shaping himself into the vigilante that we know him from in the Superman comics. And eventually he will become the super villain that we all know him to be. But in the comics he does have quite a lot of material and journeys that Manchester Black has to him, he was the leader of the group known as The Elite, he became a part of the Suicide Squad, he was killed as a super villain and revealed Superman’s identity to the world where it got him killed and when the comics were renewed after the events of Flashpoint he was resurrected from the dead thanks to a certain speedster who couldn’t help but to mess up the time line. In the rebirth story Manchester Black is revised as only a anti-hero which is good because I felt like in the series of Supergirl that was what they wanted to go with direction but instead went with becoming a vigilante.
Now with James/Guardian (Mehcad Brooks) is being seen as the next Liberty, this is not good especially for James’s image as being a lover for the alien races that are living on Earth. And to be seen as the same way as how Agent Liberty (Sam Witwer) is being seen on the series now, is going to destroy James little by little. Like most of the journalists at Cat Co if they see those articles about Guardian, then they will be questioning James’s true intentions for the company of the paper. See where I’m getting at? Like what will happen now?
I’m definitely looking forward to next weeks episode and I hope you are too!
