Legends of Tomorrow (S04E03) “Dancing Queen”

Alright guys and gals, this episode was an interesting one and it explained how a certain actress comes back as  a different character to the series! I think we all were wondering how that certain actress would return to the series after her first character went back to their time period. Lets get to this review!

So in this episode we had to go back to London 1977 where history was altered by magic to think that the Queen was going to be institutionalized and the Legends had to investigate it. When the Legends get their with our favorite John Constantine (Matt Ryan) we learn that there is a punk rock band which according to Constantine is impossible because there were no punk rock groups in the 70’s they started in the 80’s but sadly because of the time inaccuracy due to the magical creature which turns out to be a shape shifter. But that wasn’t good for Constantine because he knows what mischief shape shifters can cause and believes that the creature belongs in Hell! Sadly Ray (Brandon Routh) isn’t too happy to send this one to Hell, instead he wants to reason with the creature but instead forced Constantine to freeze the powers of the creature which forced her to keep the form of an old team mate Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers).

Now going back to this time, I had wondered why Constantine wanted to go to this certain pub, but things did become clear soon enough. When we got a look at the bar tender we found out that she is Constantine’s mother and that his father came to that pub every day to try to go out with her. Now if you watched the NBC Constantine series you know the story that Constantine tells Zari (Tala Ashe) in tonight’s episode. In the name that his father gave him due to his mother dying in child birth, which was killer; and every night Constantine’s father would come home and give him a beating while drunk telling him “that’s what you get for what you did to your mom killer” which just hearing his back story the first time around on the Constantine series it made us all cry or feel bad. And when he told us the viewers again it still makes us feel bad for the guy. And I have a feeling that Constantine will eventually tell Zari about him running from the demon that wants his soul, but it still makes us question is it Nargul or is it someone else that is after John? I still feel like it’s going to be Nargul especially since he said it’s something from his past.

We also saw Gary (Adam Tsekhman) and Nate (Nick Zano) kinda doing some time bro bonding which they all were trying to figure out what a magical issue in another timeline might’ve been. But we also saw that there is a new character that I think would be a good fit for Gary; the new character Mona (Ramona Young) is so identical to Gary that it’s really creepy! But she would be a good fit for Gary especially if he’s still looking for that special someone, but knowing him he would spill all secrets out to her if they ever did go out on a date. Did you see how she was trying to get him to tell her about the time bureau! I hope we do see more of Mona though it would be nice to see more of her in future episodes!

Hope you all liked tonight’s episode!
