Alright guys and gals we had another great ride on the wave rider in tonight’s episode heading to the great 90’s, yes I said great don’t judge! We had a lot of fun things happen in this episode that we will get to in a little bit so lets get to the review!
So in this episode we had some really fun tidbits like the making fun of the DC Comics dark hero Swamp Thing, which we all know that Swamp Thing is getting his own tv series on the DC Universe Streaming Services. Even though it was fun to have those references, it did lead to Sara (Caity Lotz) and Ava (Jess Macallan) to be informed by Gideon (Amy Pemberton) of a magical disturbance that is happening in the 90’s at a summer camp. Yeah summer camp for most people was the worst time ever, I have some pretty horrifying memories of times I had to go as a kid. If you have good memories of summer camp times then your the lucky ones, like Ray (Brandon Routh). Even though some of the people are not really happy about becoming counselor’s at a summer camp but desperate times comes desperate measures am I right?
While the Legends were trying to find out what magical disturbance was plaguing the summer camp, they had all thought it was Swamp Thing the monster in a horror movie but instead it was a Vampire Witch in the disguise as Chad (Mason Trueblood) but if it wasn’t for the Shape shifter (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) to tell them the details they would’ve never figured it out. So in a way this shape shifter has her way of helping out. But given that the Vampire Witch was only going after children, Sara had to think outside of the box for this one to lure it. Constantine (Matt Ryan) had helped with a potion to de-age Sara into a child again and it was definitely weird to see a little kick ass Child Sara (Emily Murden) but not only Sara, we also had Ava turn into Child Ava (Vanessa Przada) but good thing is the spell didn’t last long, just long enough to get the Vampire Witch sent to Hell by a steak to the heart! I guess that is one way of getting rid of a supernatural/magical being.
Given that Constantine did seem like he wasn’t having much fun this episode, you have to admit when he hypnotized all those kids all those secrets had to be really fun to get Intel on. Especially Randall (Koyu Ranken) I mean his biggest secret was hiding Victoria Secret magazines in a secret place, that was actually pretty funny and you can tell that Constantine did kind of get attached to the kid as well! I mean yeah when Randall’s soul didn’t return to his body we all thought the exact same thing as Constantine that it was going to be another Astra situation but thankfully Constantine was able to use his magic to get the child’s soul back in his body. But now it looks like Constantine might be in a bit of danger, especially since he’s running from something that is after his soul which means the more magic he uses the more in danger he’s going to be to giving away his location to the demon or what ever it is that is after him. I still say that it’s Nargul that is after him but we shall see very soon I feel! Until next time my wonderful readers!
