The Flash (S05E05) “All Doll’ed Up”

Alright guys and gals we had one heck of a great episode tonight and man was it a good one! We had the greatest guest appearance ever and I will get to that in a little bit as well as our new episode villain, we had so many great moments in this episode, lets get to the review!

So in this episode we had a contorting villain and he was creepy in his debut, the villain is Rag Doll (Troy James) and boy is he one creepy dude. For those that know comics, Rag Doll is a villain that goes way, way, way back to Golden Age’s for comic books and every age of comics the story for Peter Merkel aka Rag Doll has been revamped or redone and every story has become a fantastic story to reveal such a phenomenal villain for comics and for the series. Now for the series we got the talented Troy James to play the part of Rag Doll and I knew from a fact that he was going to be able to do a lot of his own stunts and contorting in the episode because after seeing all his acts on America’s Got Talent and how he wasn’t given that much of a great chance to shine when it came to America to vote and The CW stepped in just days after he lost the competition for a role that he would be superb for! Like seriously America, after seeing this performance, how could you not vote for this contortionist in the competition, I saw what The CW saw and that was huge potential and The CW made the greatest choice in snatching Troy James after he lost the competition, like everything fell right into place for him to be able to become Rag Doll. I mean sure America’s Got Talent has had a lot of contortionists in the competition but none like the talent that Troy James performed, he was the perfect choice for Rag Doll, given how creepy he can be in a good way. It was the right kind of creepy that brought us a phenomenal performance and I look forward to seeing Rag Doll, doll himself out of iron heights prison and run free again! We need Troy James’s Rag Doll back on the show for another episode he’s become my new favorite villain!

Beyond my praise for Troy James and his version of Rag Doll, we also had Cisco (Carlos Valdes) having his own issues in this episode choosing to tell anyone about the bleeding of his hands and nose bleeds that he’s been having when he vibes or breeches. I think we all can say that Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco are the best friends that we all wish we had. The type of best friend that would do anything for you even if he/or she was literally having problems of their own. And thats the type of friend Cisco is to Caitlin and I love that! I love that he would do anything for Caitlin to help her get a connection to her father again; to help her try to get Killer Frost persona back. Like if that’s not a true friend I don’t know what is.

And can we all take a moment in saying this episode was literally Iris’s (Candice Patton) best episode so far! Literally, she had so many great moments, so many revelations and yet she was able to pull herself together, be a strong woman for Team Flash. And even with all the horrible moment’s Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) has given Iris; Iris still pulled through, she has pulled through so far this whole season to prove that she is not the horrible mother that she knows in the future. But she jumped off a building and went full on Supergirl nose dive to catch Barry (Grant Gustin) and get him released from those meta cuffs. Like seriously, not a lot of women would jump off a building to try to save the man they love, but by doing that it did help Nora to not become wiped from existence, just think how badly that could’ve ended up for Nora.
