Okay guys and gals we had another great episode brought to us tonight! So we were told about what happened to Felicity in this episode, and it added some special comic book references as well but we will get to that in a little bit. There’s so many questions still needing to be answered but lets get to this review!
So in this episode, Laurel/Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) had come to Oliver (Stephen Amell) to give him what seems like good news but it wasn’t convincing for Oliver to believe Laurel in possibly getting him out of prison. Even though this Laurel has turned a new leaf, some people are not truly convinced with it, like Oliver but others are and I have to agree with the others that this Laurel has turned a new leaf and is definitely wanting to help a lot more lives. I mean especially what Laurel said in the court room to convince the judge about getting Oliver free. It all proves that she has changed at least a little bit!
Now we had a special guest in tonight’s episode, we had Aleks Paunovic play one of the guards of the prison that Oliver is at. This is awesome, it’s the second CW show that he is now a part of and he’s still on Van Helsing series too! I mean the guy stays busy, but it’s awesome to have him on this show and to even work good with Oliver like; if they keep him on the show, I feel like Oliver can go to that prison guard and be all like “we work good together” I hope his prison guard character stays alive on the show, cause it would be awesome to see him on the episodes from now on, at least until Oliver gets out of prison at least you know.
We also had answers about what happened to Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and how she died or at least a summary of how it happened in the flash forward segments of the episode. And I have to say it’s about time that they played a little bit into the villain arc of Felicity. They twisted it a little bit, but I like how they took bit’s and pieces of her villain arc from the New 52 comics and made it their own thing for the summary of how she went villain and died as a villain. Apparently her villain arc turned her into the new Calculator, which is still a hacker. But apparently her future plan was to make Star City into rubble, which plays into the comics even more, only it wasn’t Felicity who made the city go into rubble so that was another interesting twist.
And we had Red Dart (Holly Elissa) and Kodiak (Michael Jonsson) on the episode tonight, they didn’t get to have much air time but it was nice seeing those two again on an episode, especially with them maybe no longer being hired by Diaz (Kirk Acevedo) they might even choose to wreak havoc somewhere else? Or will they stick around more and choose to take on Team Arrow. I would love for them to stick around and do more bad ass fights with Oliver/Green Arrow and the rest of the team.
Will Oliver be able to get out of the prison next episode we shall find out!
