Alright guys and gals, we had another great episode brought to us tonight! We had quite a lot of things happen in this episode like a certain character that we all thought that was dead really isn’t, and Anissa became involved in something she didn’t understand but we will get to all of that in a little bit! Lets get to that review!
So in this episode we find out that Gambi (James Remar) really isn’t dead, I mean you all have no idea how happy I am to know this! Because back in the last episode we all thought the worst, and I know I’m not the only one who was really worried to hear it to be true, but thankfully it’s not. They revealed how Gambi got out of the car and even revealed what he’s been doing to the poor assassins as well. I mean you can’t blame him for wanting answers, even though he had an idea of who wanted him dead, he wanted confirmation from the assassins themselves. And since everyone thinks he is dead, he has to keep watch on both Jefferson (Cress Williams) and Anissa (Nafessa Williams) secretly through the screen of his hotel room; now that is real entertainment there!
So apparently in the outskirts of Freeland which is the city that Anissa and Jefferson live in, there are a group of people who still are devoted to the old ways of when whites and blacks hated each other. And of course Anissa got herself involved because a child of one of the families was in need of medical treatment and that person was Anaya (Birgundi Baker). If it wasn’t for Anissa wanting to look out for Anaya and the babies brought her into a battle with these two families and the other family’s leader is Looker (Sofia Vassileva). Looker is apparently one of the kids who survived the vaccine so long ago just like Jefferson but Looker has the ability to make people her super slaves. Now Looker is one that is really interesting, because she has this silver liquid that she uses to tag and to control at her will. I am curious in next weeks episode because it seems like Jefferson and Looker will have a confrontation maybe!
Now in this episode Tobias (Marvin Jones III) ordered Khalil (Jordan Calloway) to kill the Reverend (Robert Branchaud) but even before he tried doing the order, Khalil was having a bit of a hard time with stomaching the idea of killing the Reverend. But when Khalil found out about Tobias being the one who ended up paralyzing him during season 1, Khalil figured he would find a way to not kill the Reverend if only it would work. When Khalil tried doing the mission, he told the Reverend to run and never come back but he refused because even the Reverend knows that when your time comes it comes. So he tried seeing if Khalil would do the mission he was suppose to do but instead he let him live which made Tobias really angry. Khalil and Tobias have a showdown but Tobias ended up winning because he had the upper hand in the fight against Khalil. What will Khalil try next time? It’s hard to say now?
How long will Gambi stay hidden? What will Jefferson do when he finds out that Gambi is still alive? All will be answered soon I suppose!
