Arrow (S07E07) “The Slabside Redemption

Alright guys and gals we had another great episode brought to us tonight! We got a lot to talk about, but I think we all can agree that this season has been the best season! So lets get to the review!

So in this episode we saw Diaz (Kirk Acevedo) being transported to the maximum prison while Oliver (Stephen Amell) gets released from the prison today! But things don’t always go according to plan. Diaz was free to run through the prison and had one mission to go after Oliver and to kill him once and for all, but since when does the villain get his way? The answer is never; after all if the villains always got their way, then wouldn’t the series have ended like Season 3? I mean you gotta think about it, but when you do you realize the villains will never get their way no matter how hard they try because our hero will always prevail and save the day wither they are in a prison or out on the streets. But this was a really good episode though!

I really did like the team up of Oliver and Turner/Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White) they made a really good team in the prison and I’m glad that Turner turned a new leaf to show that he can be hero material! Oliver also made a promise to Turner and now that Oliver is out of prison, I hope he stays true to that deal because it would be nice to see Turner back in Argus as a field agent. That would be cool to have someone who used to be a suicide squad member become a field agent for Argus but something tells me that Lyla might not agree to it, but hopefully Oliver and Diggle (David Ramsey) can convince her that Turner belongs anywhere except prison. And I would have to agree, after what Turner did with Oliver in tonight’s episode he definitely deserves to be anywhere besides prison.

But now that Oliver is back out of prison, what will happen to his daily life? Will he have a side effect from being in prison for way too long? Will Oliver return to his ways being the Green Arrow? What will happen to this new Green Arrow thats on the streets now? So many questions but yet we will be getting so many answers and I’m surprised that Oliver was in prison for a whole seven episodes, this was literally longer than I had expected but you know what that’s the beauty of this new showrunner Beth Schwartz; every episode of the season she’s been running has been an amazing episode and I’m so glad that she’s been able to change the show to return to the epic feel that it’s been missing for the last three seasons. Don’t get me wrong, season six did have it’s moments but season seven is the amazeballs!

And I know that all the Olicity fans of the show are relieved that they will be seeing more of Olicity moments now that Oliver is out of prison, maybe William will join in on the family reunion too! It’s hard to say, but here’s one thing I do hope happens; even though Diaz has made it seem like our dear Red Dart (Holly Elissa) and Kodiak (Michael Jonsson) are long gone but I hope they return to face off against the real Green Arrow, now that would be an awesome fight to see! There’s always hope!
