Alright guys and gals, we had a really good episode brought to us tonight and we have quite a bit to talk about tonight, so lets get to this review!
So in this episode Cicada (Chris Klein) went on a killing spree on meta’s but it wasn’t a normal killing spree, it was a killing spree of criminal meta’s most of them were even put into Iron Heights by Barry/The Flash (Grant Gustin) so for him to want to call a meeting to them after Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) gets paralyzed for a quarter of the episode. After Nora is paralyzed, Barry is sent into a rage that unmatches the rage he had back in Season 1 when he was whammy’d, and we all remember that episode! But it was something that fueled Barry for pretty much the whole episode but even Barry admits he won’t be the same and I think he’s right. Ever since Elseworlds Barry hasn’t been the same, he’s tried so hard to be the same hero he has been but if anything this episode reveals some of the ramifications it has on our hero by trying to alter time and space with a book.
I know that Nora is a part of Barry’s future that he may never see grow up and to see her hurt it burns him with a new rage. I mean I’m sure anyone would feel that way and to have this big bad that keeps coming and coming and coming and never goes down then yeah your gonna want to kill the guy; rewrite history to have it that Cicada dies, but who would forgive Barry if he did that? No one, they all would question his methods after that. But it’s a good thing that Nora can bring Barry back just like how Iris can!
And it seems like we saw quite a lot of a issue with Caitlin and Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) the two of them were having quite the feud about this meta-human cure. Killer Frost keeps erasing and destroying the work that Caitlin does which then everything has to be put back the way it was. But after a one on one chat with Ralph/Elongated Man (Hartley Sawyer) Killer Frost finally realized that Caitlin is trying to do work not so she can be cured from Killer Frost but so that other meta’s who don’t want to have their powers can be cured hopefully. But it also makes you wonder, who really wants to get rid of their powers? Maybe a lot of them do but some might not.
When we did finally get that super powered fight between Barry and Cicada we saw Barry go so fast he was going faster than usual to where he was about to pull a full Reverse Flash ultra style move to kill Cicada but thankfully Nora was able to stop him and the villain got away. But when will he resurface? I’m thinking give him like five episodes and he will be back! But we will see!
As for all the meta’s, I have to admit I didn’t think Norvoc (Mark Sweatman) would have been a good guy, but after he told his story to Killer Frost of how he got that snake in his eye it surprised me that he chose to let all other meta’s go first before himself onto that helicopter. And he almost bit the dust, if it wasn’t for Ralph saving him from Cicada’s dagger! I mean that was really close, one second less and he would’ve got killed!
The next episode also looks like it’s going to be good, with Barry having the idea of waking Grace up to make Cicada stop his blood feud against meta’s but I doubt that would happen.
