Alright, guys and gals we had a great episode brought to us tonight and it’s such a fantastic one! It seems like the big bad has been changed. But is it for the better or worse? I guess we will find out sooner or later. We had a character death in tonight’s episode, and we have a bit more to talk about so let’s get to this review!
whose afraid of the big bad future?
In tonight’s episode, Thawne (Tom Cavanagh) cut all ties with Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) because the timeline has changed into one that even he doesn’t know the outcome of. I think this scares Thawne and that’s saying something because Thawne never gets scared. So now that Thawne has cut all ties with Nora, what will happen with the ties that Nora has made with her parents? It’s not going to go well, but things get interesting with Nora and Future Grace/Cicada II (Sarah Carter). Apparently, they are connected psychically so at least that gives Nora an advantage to know when Grace will strike and when they will have another altercation with the big bad.
So going now to our new big bad. Yes, it’s Future Grace. The reason why Grace came from the future is that she wanted to help set the past straight. That Dwyer (Chris Klein) is the real first Cicada and he needs to finish what he started so that the future will always be set straight. But will it really now that Grace came from the future to help her uncle? Or will things get even more messed up?
After all, Dwyer took the cure so that he would be taken away from all the hate and anger that he knew was killing him. I think even Dwyer will always be thankful for that cure but Grace is a different kind of Cicada. Maybe this new Cicada will definitely be a villain worthy of Barry/The Flash (Grant Gustin) but will this also ruin the timeline? I guess we will find out soon enough whether it does or not.
just a normal relationship
We also see that Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) tries helping Cisco (Carlos Valdes) girlfriend Kamela (Victoria Park) to get a job that would be closer to Team Flash. We can see that Cisco doesn’t want his girlfriend to become closer to Team Flash; he wants a normal relationship with this girl. That’s totally understandable, given that his last relationship which was close to Team Flash ended in disaster. But that’s also because the two of them were from two different earths.
I’m hoping that Cisco and Kamela can both have a long-lasting relationship. Let’s hope nothing happens to where the two can stay in it too. I mean, they made it official on social media and in reality, but (I can’t believe I’m quoting Ralph right now) he “Peter Parker’d” Cisco’s girlfriend. This is just a hilarious saying because it’s another reference to Spider-Man. This is the second series that has taken a jab at Spider-Man in the same week. What is up with DC series taking jabs at the web-slinger? Like they did a whole lot of Spider-Man jabs in this episode, like’ being bitten by a radioactive spider’. ‘Peter Parker’d’ her. ‘Hopefully, she doesn’t find the way to crawl up walls’, the list goes on.
someone’s got a secret to tell
Our final notion, Sherloque Wells (Tom Cavanagh) revealed to Team Flash Nora’s deep secret that she was seriously wanting to tell everyone. Even Cecile (Danielle Nicolet) could sense that she wanted to speak the truth about the deep dark secret. She was afraid to because remembering how her father reacted to the Reverse Flash suit back when they were in the past it always made her rethink everything. But because of Sherloque and it coming from Sherloque, Barry became angry, throwing her daughter into the pipeline and maybe never getting out. I mean the guy was literally angry at Nora because she’s been working and altering time all by the hand of Thawne. With Barry knowing that he’s being puppeted by his greatest enemy, it makes him angry.
So what will happen with Nora now? Only episodes of this season will be able to tell us! Next Episode isn’t until April 16th so we got a while!
