Alright guys and gals, we had a great episode brought to us tonight and it was a good one revealing some of Lex Luthor’s mastermind plan or is it? We shall see soon enough but we will talk about this in a little bit, we have quite a bit to talk about tonight so lets get to this review!
So in tonight’s episode we jumped around a bit but in the end it all makes sense though, so we jumped at first to how Teschmacher (Andrea Brooks) first came to know of Lex (Jon Cryer) and apparently shes been a bit of a stalker to the guy for quite sometime. I mean I wouldn’t want to meet with my stalker but Lex is an evil genius so we can definitely see some kind of a crazy scheme for him using her. It was at this moment that Lex decided to make Teschmacher go undercover to retrieve intel and wait for the right moment for Lex. I mean for a creepy stalker she sure is dedicated to a cause that’s just gonna get her killed which is probably the reason why shes leaving Lena (Katie McGrath) employment since her cover is now blown and she needs to go back to stalking Lex closer and from a far because we know for the whole time she was playing assistant she was most likely watching Lex from a far.
Now we did learn that Otis (Robert Baker) he did supposed have “died” but I think he faked his death like how he did with that kid in tonight’s episode and allowed for his sister Mercy to have been killed which I guess that confirms that we may not see Mercy anymore in the series. Which is a shame cause I like any version of Mercy, but Otis is starting to become a good addition to the Graves family, maybe they will add him to the comics eventually if they ever redo the comics you know.
In this episode we also saw that Lex made many trips from the beginning of the season to the crossover of the season to the episode that happened in the last episode which was quite a lot of craziness. But with Lex now getting the black kryptonite it gave him powers which is bad, it’s really, really bad. But to not get ahead of myself we saw that Lex made visits to Russia this whole time while Kara/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) was taking care of Ben Lockwood/Agent Liberty (Sam Witwer).
During that time Lex was befriending and training Red Daughter (Melissa Benoist) which is a little tidbit and nice way to change up the classic Superman story of how Superman had an enemy known as Red Son trained by Lex Luthor. So to change that up for the Supergirl series is really interesting but it’s a good change because we see that same relationship that Lex had in the comics with Red Son and in the series we see it with Red Daughter so it’s really going to be interesting to see both Supergirl and Red Daughter fight against each other eventually! But the end game I feel like may be Lex having Red Daughter and Supergirl battle each other to see who is the greater Supergirl! But we know that it will be Kara, she’s the only Supergirl!
