Alright guys and gals we had a great episode brought to us tonight and it was a good one! We had a great storyline brought to this episode and it looks like what I hoped will happen that the storyline will be multiple episodes so it will be a while before Kara can clear her name, we got a lot to cover so lets get to this review!
So in this episode we had Lena (Katie McGrath), and Alex (Chyler Leigh) work together with Kara/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) to find out who and why is framing Supergirl for the crime that happened at the white house. Which I guess they would have to use Lena and Alex because it’s not like they can do like how they did in the comics which was Superman and Batman in the Public Enemies comic story arc. But it’s still nice that they are able to do this story line in some kind of version, but it is confirmed and I was worried because I know that for other story arcs they did make it only one episode and solved within half way through the episode and then the story arc was done and that made me feel bad and wasted opportunities that they could’ve done but thankfully this story arc will indeed be more than one episode, I’m hoping it will be a worthy story arc so that we all can agree will be one of the greatest story arcs if done right. So far it was a great opening and great starter point for this episode, I can see this going on for at least three to four episodes to make it a worthy story. Wither that will happen we will have to wait and see.
Okay so I noticed that when Alex needed to go talk to somebody she didn’t even worry about going to Kara this time around but instead went to go and ask advice from Kelly Olsen (Azie Tesfai) and I don’t know it’s a random thought but what if things go beyond friendship with Alex and Kelly? Are the writers trying to ship these two as a couple kind of way? If so would you the fans want another Danvers and Olsen pair up happen, I mean I know when the series first started we all wanted James (Mehcad Brooks) and Kara pair up but would Kelly and Alex make it work? I mean I see anything is possible and I’m sure the writers see it that way too but we shall see later on.
We also see that James is noticing that the drug that gave him a second chance at life is now giving him side effects that I don’t think he likes. I mean the guy’s eyes went full on demon black and weird tattoo markings came up on him when he started using all that strength and super hearing. It’s almost like he was becoming some kind of super powered person. I know he was given the drug that can give people super powers but still that whole demon eyes thing was not was suppose to happen from what I think. So what is exactly happening with James? Will he die from all of this? Will he accept the powers or will something happen to make him lose himself? Only way to find out is by watching. All I know is it’s going to be interesting to see what James and Lena can find out about what’s going on with him.
And will Brainy’s (Jesse Rath) decision about making a copy of the list but deleting the list from the mainframe of the D.E.O. have consequences, from what Nia/Dreamer (Nicole Maine) dreamt it seems like it could back fire but we will have to wait and see about that too. I personally feel like it will back fire and Ben Lockwood/Agent Liberty (Sam Witwer) will dismantle Brainy and use only his memory drive to find what he needs and make sure that Brainy dies because we know how much Ben hates aliens. And if he finds this out it will give him motive to do something bad to Brainy which would devastate Nia but we shall see.
