Alright guys and gals we had another great episode brought to us tonight and it was gorgeously phenomenal! Really sets the bar high for our next two episodes but we will get to that in a little bit but for now let’s get to this review!
So in this episode we saw our beloved Maggie (Jahkara Smith) go through some hard days and I mean hard days. The number one friend that always counted on her is dead and somehow that scrabble bag grew legs and ran back to her. But none of it is Maggie’s fault even though she felt like it was. But sure enough it was a hard enough push that led Maggie to get back in the game. Might’ve almost taken her life in the meantime but it was sure enough a hard push. But truth be told I’m glad that she was given that push cause it needs to be Maggie and Vic (Ashleigh Cummings) together all the way to defeat the evil Charlie Manx (Zachary Quinto).
In other news, Vic had her own problems to deal with, not only did she have a fight with her mother Linda (Virginia Kull) but she also had to deal with the issues of finding her bike again which thank god she finally did find it. Turns out Linda lies about selling it only because she was afraid of losing Vic to Risd art school and having no one to help or take care of. Is it cowardly, sure well maybe but if you look at it in Linda’s point of view she really is just trying to do what a mother would do to protect her child from the horrors of the world because that’s what a real mother is supposed to do for as long as she can. But if you look at it in our hero Vic’s eyes yes it does seem selfish thing to do but it’s all depending on which point of view that you look at too. But it seems that everyone is still happy that Vic got into art school and will be doing her dream after all.
Now we get into another situation Vic found herself in with this episode. Bing (Olafur Olafsson) who seemed like such a nice guy chose to go to a naughty side today to abduct Vic and try making her a mindless controlled human to do who knows what to. But poor Bing had it in his head to get rid of the problem which he sees as Vic. At least Vic tried her best to talk down Bing to make him see reason and to see that the thing he was doing was wrong but he is too far gone to hear anyone else’s truth except for Charlie Manx’s. But let’s be honest if Charlie had heard of or found out about Bing’s little side project with Vic the guy would be next breakfast toast. Thankfully Vic escaped the way she did and was able to get to Maggie before her attempt at suicide was complete.
If anyone knows of anybody who is suffering from depression or suicidal thoughts there numbers and people that you can call who will hear you out. Suicide is never the answer.
