Welcome back ladies and gentlemen, I’m so glad to be back bringing to you a wonderful review to you all about tonight’s episode. This start up we will get to it but we have a lot of things to discuss so let’s get to this review!
So in this episode I’m thinking we are about a month or so after that shocking moment when our lovable Lou (Breeda Wool) shot Brady point blank in the eye with a plastic gun. That still shocks me when I rewatch that last season, but anyway because Lou is being seen as this big hero in the public’s eyes the judge Raines (Glynn Turman) doesn’t want to be seen as the bad guy. But it looks like Lou might have to play some hard ball in order to find out what her options are, so far it’s prison, trial (which could lead to more prison time), or being freed or looney bin. So yeah not so good for our lovable Lou. Don’t worry Lou, you still look good even in orange.
But with Brady out of the picture or so they want you to think; we have a new murder that is plaguing the town in a rumor now, the murder of John Rothstein (Bruce Dern) which we find out Bill Hodges (Brendan Gleeson) was a huge fan of the author and is devastated to hear of his passing. But will this murder case be the new “Mr. Mercedes” case for Hodges? After all with no Brady around, Hodges needs to find another big winning case for him to get involved with and why not the murder of his favorite author.
But in the meanwhile the killer is still on the loose and he is just getting started wither his killings are accidental or self defense he is still going to need to answer for them. I have a feeling we will be getting to know more about this new killer very soon. And I’m sure he will be going out on a killing spree looking for that stolen money and manuscripts, after all; greed is an evil that strikes when you least expect it to and when it does it becomes like a drug that you can’t shake. Much like our new character who became the killer.
But I do like that we get one of NOS4A2’s actors on this series, yes ladies and gents we have Rarmian Newton who plays Peter in this series. And I’m happy to see him go from one series that I love to another it’s just amazing. Let alone this series is still continuing from where we left off more or less but we are also getting a lot of new characters to add to the mix with a new murder story fledged out for this season so it’s going to be a lot of fun.
But I still have this feeling that Brady is going to make a return wither it’s spiritual or by hallucination or even some kind of possession I just have a feeling he’s not fully gone like how everyone thinks he is. But even if he is, do you all feel this new murder will be a better or worse case for Hodges? I honestly feel like it’s going to be worse than Brady but that’s my opinion. I would love to hear your guys and gals opinions as well. Until next time my readers!
