Alright guys and gals we had another great episode brought to us tonight! We definitely have a lot to talk about so let’s just get to this review!
So I knew this would eventually happen because it was announced during the summer but I didn’t think it would happen this soon. When we got word that Mehcad Brooks who plays Jimmy Olsen was going to leave the show, people’s ideas went completely grim. But I was hopeful, and I didn’t expect it to happen by this episode.
Yes my readers this was Jimmy Olsen’s (Mehcad Brooks) last episode, I’m really going to miss seeing Jimmy on the show but I also understand that it’s a decision that the actor made by himself. But now that Jimmy is living back in his hometown in order to help out the city’s people and the corruption in the system. I just wish Jimmy Olsen all the best and I hope we can at least see him one more time in Crisis crossover but we will find out eventually.
In other parts of the episode we had Kara/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) investigate on William Day (Staz Nair) where we try finding out about what William is really doing in National City. During the investigation Kara comes across a meta human by the name of Agent Igle (Patricia Isaac) who can control the wind but thankfully Kara was able to defeat her to continue the investigation on William. Which fun fact the name Igle comes from a comic book artist who worked on Supergirl comics back then. He worked on tie in issues in the Race Against Time for Supergirl comics.
When Kara found out what William really is doing, I think she feels bad for him. Knowing he’s having to wear a facade to try his best to become a part of Andrea Rojas/Acrata (Julie Gonzalo) inner circle to exploit her as the monster he thinks she is. It’s nice that William was trying to protect Kara by not telling her the truth but only if he knew that she is Supergirl he wouldn’t feel like protecting her. Will Kara and William start working together on his side project or will they continue on with the facade that’s already been playing out. At least he’s not working with Leviathan organization which was one of my fears.
We also had Alex (Chyler Leigh) become mind controlled by Malefic (Phil LaMarr) who tried his best to use Alex to destroy J’onn (David Harewood) even though it almost worked I always knew it wouldn’t because no matter what family will always prevail. Especially the family that J’onn is a part of, its a super friends family one that will always have love.
Now that Lena (Katie McGrath) has Malefic as a prisoner, what will she do to him? Will they work together to get their revenge on both of their enemies? I have a feeling that it will be some kind of partnership that will end badly for one of them.
