Van Helsing(S04E06) “Miles and Miles”

Alright guys and gals we had another great episode brought to us tonight! I’m really glad that we have at least one happy moment in this episode and we will talk about a whole lot more. So let’s get to this review!

So in tonight’s episode we had Axel (Jonathan Scarfe) and Phil/Flesh (Vincent Gale) on the move to find Max (Richard Harmon) who has Jennifer (Holly Elissa) and Owen (Alexander Brophy) captive. In the whole cat and mouse chase that happened in this episode I was not prepared for what we saw. Especially Owen, I really thought he was going to be this kid who was kinda sloppy with violence but instead we got this smart as hell kid staying quiet only so he can mastermind escapes, deaths, and anything in between, seriously this is the kind of kid who would survive any apocalyptic situation.

Now I think we all can agree that Max is a total psycho but I don’t think anyone was ready to hear his little origin story that he had told to Axel. Apparently Max used to be one of Dimitri’s vampires but then was turned into a day walker, but it does explain though how Max was able to survive that gun shot during last episode but who turned him into a day walker? Was it Vanessa? Or someone else? Well we may never know especially since Phil went machete crazy on Max’s neck to cut off the head.

Now I think we all can agree that Phil has literally gone down a badass path. He broke into a prison to try to rescue his wife, he then had to win her heart back and then rescue her from a psychopath while on the way killing some vampire Tusken Raiders, yes I know I used a Star Wars reference to describe those desert vampires that wanted trade but the way they dressed it’s the only way to describe them. But it was all worth it, I just hope that Phil and Jennifer can live a happy life together with Owen.

We did have another character who died and was just introduced in this episode too Matty (Bradley Stryker) who was some kind of drug maker by stuffing human with day walker blood and some how crystallize the blood into special drugs it’s like crystal meth but for vampires. But when Matty chose to try to take Jennifer to be one of those human stuffers. Let’s just say it didn’t work well for him, shot in the head to be dead, dead, dead. He won’t be in any other seasons that’s for sure.

And as for Axel it looks like he’s going to be on the road again looking for the next big fight which I have a feeling he might get a big fight sooner than later. But I’m sure we will be seeing more of Axel in episodes soon. I’ve always liked Axel he’s been that guy whose story has always been interesting ever since the beginning.
