Alright ladies and gentleman we had another great episode brought to us tonight! And we had quite a bit that happened so let’s get to this review!
So with this episode we finally had an issue brought up, the issue that not everyone accepts the LGBTQ side of the world. I’ve been waiting for them to bring this issue up in this series especially since our main character is of those people. It sure did take them a while to figure out how to incorporate that into Gotham but they finally did and I think Kate/Batwoman (Ruby Rose) handled it well, and I hope that a lot of people in that community can be inspired by Kate to handle it as well as she did one day.
We saw in this episode the reason why Sophie (Meagan Tandy) and Kate had ended their relationship. So from what they’ve revealed is Sophie was planning to go with their plan; tell the truth about being gay and walk in there proud as can be but it was Jacob (Dougary Scott) who changed her mind by telling her what would really happen at that academy hearing. But even after the hearing it looks like Sophie was defending Kate’s honor throughout the academy. And we can see that Sophie does regret her decisions and may never forgive herself in the far, far, far back parts of her mind.
We met one of the gun fighting villains that came into this episode; The Rifle (Garfield Wilson) who was brought into Gotham to do business with Alice (Rachel Skarsten). Alice was to give the coil gun to the Rifle and have him use it to neutralize Batwoman. But things don’t always go according to plan.
We also had a huge treat brought to us tonight people; Alfred Pennyworth’s daughter Julia Pennyworth (Christina Wolfe). Julia is no stranger when it comes to the comics of Batman so it doesn’t surprise me that they brought a Pennyworth into the series even if it was for one episode. But there’s always hope that they bring her back maybe for another future episode or episodes. After all hearing she had a little fling with Kate makes me want to hear more on that. Like what else happened there?
At least Julia helped with Kate’s whole Sophie problem. With posing as Batwoman but she was never told she would get shot while posing. But I suppose Julia knows what she is getting herself into especially when it comes to Bat-family stuff.
Sadly my readers we won’t be having a new episode until December 1st, so we have to go on a week without a new episode but I suppose they had to space out some of the episodes because it is getting close to the crossover, until we meet again my readers!
