Arrow (S08E05) “Prochnost”

Alright ladies and gentleman we had another great episode brought to us tonight! We had a lot of fun stuff happen tonight so let’s get to this review!

So in this episode we had a lot of Father and Daughter moments happen with Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Mia (Katherine McNamara). I really love that Oliver showed Mia how to keep the eyes keen on the tennis balls to make sure you hit the target precisely. It was really awesome and I loved how Mia learned a technique that her father used. Maybe we will see Mia use this technique when she returns to the future to keep practicing her skills.

It was nice to see Mia try out the trick arrows. I am looking  forward to seeing more of the teachings that Oliver can pass down to Mia. Cause those teaching moments are already becoming my favorite parts of the episodes. I wonder if Mia passes all her teachings with Oliver if she will graduate with her own super suit to take back with her to the future? If the writers haven’t thought of that yet that would be a nice idea for them to think of. After all we all are waiting for that moment when Mia is presented with her own awesome suit to conceal her identity while out in the field.

You know, I almost had doubts about Laurel/Black Siren/Black Canary (Katie Cassidy) but I think it’s because we all weren’t sure if she was really going to take The Monitor’s (LaMonica Garrett) offer about getting her Earth back into existence, but I have a feeling that the real reason why she didn’t betray Oliver, is because of Mia’s story of how Laurel saved Mia’s life in the future. And seeing that little bit of idolization in Mia’s eyes. If Laurel would’ve betrayed the team she would’ve been letting down that idolization that Mia had. And I really do feel like that’s why Laurel changed her mind and chose to not betray the team. Which proves that she really has come a long way to becoming a better person than she was.

When the team got to Russia I was really wondering if Oliver would tell Mia and Adult William (Ben Lewis) about his time in Russia from his past but eventually we saw that he did but it took some pushing and trouble times to share some things. But at least now by Oliver sharing his past with Mia and William; both of them can understand Oliver a little bit more.

Now I have a theory about Roy (Colton Haynes) that the way how he got on Lian Yu; when he was trying to runaway from his problems and eventually ran into a whole lot of killings, I think what made him really spiral down was when Oliver died during the Crisis which forced Roy to have to runaway from everyone and stay isolated on Lian Yu which then as we know many years later William comes to find him. Because as we see in this episode Roy is willing to give fighting with a team a try and now that he knows about a Crisis coming its hard to say what will happen from now to the Crisis but it won’t be good.
