Alright ladies and gentleman we had a good episode brought to us tonight! It had some good moments in the episode but we will get to that in a little bit, let’s get this review!
So in this episode we had a lot of lovely moments with Anissa (Nafessa Williams) and Grace (Chantal Thuy) tonight, whenever we have lovely moments with these two my heart goes all warm and fuzzy because those two have so much chemistry on set it’s adorable. And I always love seeing Anissa and Grace on the series it’s so amazing, and beautiful and wonderful the opening scene of having Grace needing that relaxation technique was such a lovely scene. And then the scene where Anissa and Grace had to say goodbye actually made me teary eyed. I was even saying no don’t be sad you’ll see each other again I know it.
I’m thinking Grace is going to get tired of the whole hiding and come back and somehow save Anissa’s life from what threat I have no idea yet but I’m sure it will be a big one probably at the season finale or something. But I’m positive that Grace is going to come back and be heroic and then land a big kiss on Anissa to show how much they miss each other.
Now I knew that Gambi (James Remar) would tell someone about Khalil/Painkiller (Jordan Calloway) being alive, I just didn’t think it would be Lynn (Christine Adams) but I am glad that he told someone, because I’m sure he would go crazy without saying something to someone. But question is can Lynn find a way to stop the mad Frankenstein monster control over Khalil before it’s too late?
Now I was really hoping when Odell got shot that he would have died but according to this episode he’s in the hospital and to make a “quick” recovery but while he’s out this much worse woman named Sara Grey (Katy M. O’Brian) is the stand in commanding officer which sucks cause she’s way worse than Odell.
We saw in this episode that Sara is one of those people who loves taking that extra power in her hands and use it like crazy by raiding and throwing civilians out of their homes because she can. Literally everything that happened here makes me think of what happens when troops invade other countries and do similar things or when police take things way too out of control when doing a raid through someone’s house. But there’s always someone whose going to take that position of power out of control. And I think Sara made a great example of that tonight. Especially when she was having that uncontrolled raid through the trailer homes just to ask about the Markovians and none of them knowing what they were saying but then were forced to the ground like being arrested is the great example.
Now I’m not going to lie next episode is gonna be messed up especially since poor Khalil has to go after Jefferson/Black Lightning (Cress Williams) all over again. I guess though this calls for that rematch everyone kept begging for that’s finally going to happen but how is Jefferson going to react when he finds out Painkiller is Khalil, we’ll have to keep watching to find out.
