Alright ladies and gentleman we had a great episode brought to us tonight! We had a lot of things happen and we will get to most so let’s get to this review!
So in this episode we had Jefferson/Black Lightning (Cress Williams) being given a choice to help the resistance or help the corrupted ASA. But when Mrs. Shepard (Andrea Frye) was being the victim to the ASA, Jefferson chose to draw the line and choose a side. If the ASA would’ve kept someone that Jefferson and all of Freeland knew then Jefferson would’ve probably stood to the side maybe.
But this whole situation of forcing people out of their homes only because the government wants to, but its not the only time that the government has tried this kind of action. There have been plenty of times throughout history that government tried forcing people out of their homes for their own reasons. And I’m glad that they made a example of it here, however if Black Lightning had not interfered things would’ve went bad for Mrs. Shepard.
Think about it if Black Lightning had not protected the building, the ASA probably would’ve seen that gun of hers and just say she has a gun and shoot her down. That kind of incident would’ve possibly happened if Black Lightning wasn’t there to defend. But the fact he was there to defend and Thunder (Nafessa Williams) there to help the Battle of Franklin Terrace had no blood shed just a lot of knocked out bad guys.
Although I have to admit Sergeant Gardner Grayle (Boone Platt) is literally becoming the best agent in the ASA. Not only did he not fire his weapon in the last episode when things went bad but he also chose the higher path by not being a part of the raid in Franklin Terrace in this episode. But he also helped Lynn (Christine Adams) escape from the lockdown at the Pit location of the ASA. Literally this guy is on the good guys list in my book, he has more common sense than any of those other agents, like he literally questions everything even the orders. That’s freakin fantastic, I hope he survives throughout this season. I would love for them to eventually make Grayle director of the ASA to make the company something better, something more than just being known as a meta hunter organization.
Now this has been an issue for a lot of the episodes but I think we are going to be getting a little bit more into it especially since Gambi (James Remar) was witness to Lynn’s outburst when she left her bag behind. I mean Lynn has been suffering from a addiction and it’s getting out of hand. So I’m thinking Lynn is going to have to come clean soon especially if she goes into a withdrawal from the drugs and starts not thinking straight.
It looks like next weeks episode will bring Black Lightning to the crossover it’s going to be freakin sweet!
