Demi Lovato guest stars on this episode of Will & Grace. After a long hiatus, the friends are back in action and moving forward with their lives. (Spoilers Ahead)
Will (Eric McCormack) has been in a better mood these days. He has found a potential match for a surrogate, Jenny(Demi Lovato), to carry his unborn child. It’s a big step in a life-changing direction. Instead of stalling on this grand idea, he is actually going for it. This feels like a long time coming if only he can keep his judgments at bay before he gets’ to know Jenny better.
It’s a road trip for the unlikely duo of Karen (Megan Mullally) and Will, as she just so happens to be going in the direction he needs to be in. Even though people look good on paper, and in a profile, meeting someone face to face is much different. Jenny turns out to be lax on house duties and works as a cam girl, everyone needs to make a living somehow, right? This unsettles Will and leaves him wondering if he can go through with this. She drops him before that can happen though, forcing him to change his mind and perspective.
Will needs to do this with someone who has been there before, Jenny is that person. It’s hard to believe Karen helped him come to that realization when really her innuendos were more focused on her fling with Jenny’s brother, a disabled war veteran. Karen is insightful, even when she doesn’t mean to be, it just works. Will is able to salvage this new “relationship”, so let it begin.
Where has Grace (Debra Messing) and Jack (Sean Hayes) been through all of this? Why non-other than AnnieCon! Grace has the perfect “disguise” to get them into the event, if only she chose another persona to pretend to be. Apparently, “Romona Delaney” is a big to-do in the circuit and has made a few enemies along the way when Grace must sing “Tomorrow” in front of all the former Annie’s, it’s as terrible as you think it would be.
So this is how the new year is starting out for them. It feels like it is going to be a slow burn, which is expectant for the final season. There is sure to be even more guest stars and dramatics.
At least Karen finally got laid! Could this lead to something more? We will soon find out.
