Alright ladies and gentleman we had a great episode brought to us tonight! Was it crazy for a new beginning, yes, but it was a good one. So let’s get to this review!
Okay so with this episode being right after the big events of Crisis and with Sara (Caity Lotz) having a crisis of her own by being one of the little few who still remembers everything and has to still keep the paragon title. I would be having a crisis as well! I mean it’s literally a big deal and everyone is just like “oh it was another crossover I didn’t have to do, whatevs”
And it didn’t help for the team agreeing to have a documentary happening this episode. I really felt like this documentary happening was really not the right time to and it was more of a way to turn the series into a comedy before it starts getting really dark for the rest of the season. That’s my take on it at least, did I mind the goofiness of this episode not at all. I actually liked it. The only thing I really had an issue with was how hard they tried making it a documentary and not just do it as a mockumentary or some other way and just made it feel like a reality tv show.
Thats literally the only issue I had with the episode. I mean don’t get me wrong I still miss Zari (Tala Ashe) because she had a flare that she brought to the series that made you want to watch more of her with the team. But it looks like she might still be alive somewhere, out there, will Nate (Nick Zano) be able to find her?
Now Constantine (Matt Ryan) and the Legends have to deal with Astra’s (Olivia Swann) evil plan of getting the most evil souls released from Hell to wreak havoc on the timelines. But what is the real endgame with Astra? Is she just being this child who is having a temper tantrum? Or is she really trying to be a villain? Only time will tell!
We did have a big treat for us tonight we had Michael Eklund who played a very convincing Rasputin. And many may know the name of the man from the animated Anastasia movie or even from history of being a “holy man” and rose himself to be an influence to the royal family. All I can say is Eklund did a great job as representing the man and I always love his performances, he does a phenomenal job every time!
And I don’t know when it will happen but sometime this season they are either going to kill off Ray (Brandon Routh) or have him leave the waverider for good. Whatever happens I’m gonna be sad to see his departure in the series!
