Alright ladies and gentleman we had a great episode brought to us tonight! It was filled with mystery, crime, and mobs! So let’s get to this review!
So in this episode the resurrected evil soul is Bugsy Siegel (Jonathan Sadowski) which if you don’t know, Bugsy Siegel was one of the worst of the worst, he was a major crime boss/mobster who had not only police in his pocket but before he died he was working on getting everyone in his pocket from low politicians all the way up to the president. This mobster was a bad man in all ways, however he always called his girl Virginia Hill his most prized possession.
However in this created notion they had to change the name from Virginia to Jeanie Hill (Haley Strode). And because they had to give life to Bugsy Siegel they were able to do whatever they wanted with the death of his girlfriend and make all Bugsy’s dreams become a reality that means everything that he didn’t accomplish in life before he tried accomplishing now in this episode.
While Sara (Caity Lotz) and the team dealt with Bugsy; Behrad (Shayan Sobhian) and Nate (Nick Zano) had to deal with Behrad’s family meaning that Nate had to meet Zari (Tala Ashe) all over again. Although I have to admit when they said it would be a completely different Zari we would meet this season, I thought weird science geek for some reason but no instead we got a little selfish instagramer from the looks of things. Which yeah is completely different but I never thought that though. I just feel like this Zari is one I’m not gonna be a fan of. It makes me miss the pop culture Zari we got to love during season 3 and season 4 even more now.
This Zari is just wrong in so many ways, I’m sure they will eventually mold her into becoming the Zari we once knew and loved but in the meantime I’m not the biggest fan of this version just yet. Let’s just hope that either by the ending of the season or season 6 we get some kind of badass Zari back.
As for Constantine (Matt Ryan) we found out by his latest trip down to Hell that all the souls Astra (Olivia Swann) released onto Earth that every person that soul kills those innocent ones immediately go to Hell. Which is bad news for anyone that Bugsy or any of the others kill. And that also means that Jeanie is gonna be one of those innocent souls immediately thrown into Hell. It’s sad yes especially since she had a whole career ahead of her and that’s also why Constantine went back to Hell to kill Bugsy and make sure his soul stayed dead forever.
One thing is for sure Constantine may want to still try to save Astra’s soul but Astra is one who only wants war and chaos against Constantine and nothing more.
