Looks like Cloud 9 will be sticking around unlike other retail stores.
On Tuesday, NBC has announced that they have renewed Superstore for a sixth season, which when it premieres will be its 100th episode.
America Ferrera leads the series with an ensemble cast as Amy, an employee-turned-manager at the aforementioned big-box store. Along with Ferrera are Ben Feldman, Laura Ash, Colton Dunn, Nico Santos, Nichole Bloom, Kaliko Kauahu and Mark McKinney that round out the ensemble.
“We’re thrilled that Superstore continues to speak to many important and topical issues while simultaneously being hilarious,” said Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, Co-Presidents of Scripted Programming for NBC Entertainment,” in a statement.
This comes as Brooklyn Nine-Nine gets ahead of its season seven premiere, gets renewed for an eighth season. With the network losing The Good Place and Will and Grace at the end of the 2019-2020 season, this makes perfect sense for the network to buckle to their most popular comedies.
