Welcome to TV Series Hub, what does the “J” stand for? It does make your name sound very cool though!
Thanks, glad to be here! The J in my middle name stands for Jeremy, which is my dad’s name.
How did your journey in entertainment begin?
My journey in entertainment began with music. I started playing the piano at 5 years old and then a year later I started singing. I loved the stage and my passion was performing for people. Eventually, my love for performing led into the acting world.
Coming from a music background, how did you make the jump to acting?
The jump into acting actually came about after performing in some musical theater shows. I loved being able to sing and act at the same time and wanted to do more. That was when I started focusing on the acting as well as the music.
What is a fun fact about you?
A fun fact about me is that I absolutely love roller coasters! One of my favorite places to ride roller coasters is at Six Flags Magic Mountain. I can’t wait until I can go to Cedar Point in Ohio one day to ride the roller coasters there.
Already at the age of 14, you are rocking the television world starring on Netflix’s Family Reunion. How would you describe the show?
Thank you! Family Reunion is about a family that moves from Seattle to Columbus, Georgia to be closer to their extended family. It’s an all around fun show for the whole family to watch together. It brings up many good topics and promotes togetherness.

I had to go on several auditions to land the the role of Mazzi McKellan. I really loved the concept of the show, so when I found out that I booked the role I was ecstatic. Mazzi is such a fun role to play.
What has been your favourite moment on the show?
My favorite moment was when Charlie Wilson came to work on an episode with us. It was exciting to have him on set because I am a fan of his and The Gap Band. He is such a talented artist and it was so cool to work with him. We even got to sing together in my dressing room! I will never forget that moment!
Season 2 was halted from filming due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, how are you doing? How are you dealing with it?
This pandemic is pretty scary. I really miss being on set. I also miss hanging out with my family and friends, but I’m doing whatever I can to ensure that I stay healthy and safe. I’ve being using Zoom a lot to stay connected with everyone.

I would love to play a role in a horror movie. I love scary movies! I’m just excited for whatever new opportunities that open up in the future.
Getting to the crisis at hand, with schools being closed, how are you keeping yourself busy?
I’m just trying to stay productive during this time in my schoolwork and focus on my music. I also have been taking acting classes through Zoom to continue working on my craft.
Are you taking a holiday or do you work on your own?
I have been working from home with acting, music, and the band. I’ve been auditioning, writing music, and sending home videos for NCK. It feels good that I am still able to stay busy and creative even during these times.
Where do you see yourself in the coming years?
I see myself continuing with school, music, and acting. I would also like to give back to the community in whichever ways that I can in the future.
Thank you for joining us, what advice would you give to young artists during these times?
Thank you for having me! My advice for young artists during these times is to stay grounded and never give up on your goals. This quarantine is definitely a great time for people to find their passion and practice their craft. If you don’t know what your passion is try new things since you never know what you might discover.
