Legends of Tomorrow(S05E11) “Ship Broken”

Alright readers, we had a great episode brought to us tonight! We will try to get to most of what happened in this episode, but can’t promise anything. Let’s get to this review!

In this episode, we learn a little bit about the effects Sara (Caity Lotz) has from the encounter with Charlie’s (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) sister. Apparently, Sara is able to see the future only if she touches someone. With that ability, it also came with a price her sight. We don’t know if it’s temporary, but it’s clear that Sara is going through some serious stuff right now.

Even lacking eyesight, Sara proved to be a badass character. I just feel bad that Sara thought she was going crazy. However, Charlie’s theory on Sara being a paragon saved her from dying after seeing a god’s true form. It’s not a crazy theory, but it’s also possible. I suppose we will find out soon enough.

With the loom of fate finally put back together. Charlie was able to try to find a way to bring back Zari’s (Tala Ashe) brother. However, the time ship and all time travel disbanded due to offline status. That’s not all, Gary (Adam Tsekhman) chose to bring on-board a “support animal” that is actually from Hell.

Okay, I know that we see Gary as the guy who’s a screw up. I know that’s what makes him hilarious, but the guy needs to stop screwing the pooch in a way. He always finds a way to screw things up to make bad things worse. I do understand though that they are trying to write Gary as a redeemable character, but I think the writers eventually gave up on redeeming the “poor loser” character.

The dog, better known as Marchosias (Andrew Morgado), controls minds of whoever hears its voice. For example, when Sara kept hearing the dog say “kill everybody” or when the dog said to destroy the time ship. This canine has the opposite definition of a man’s best friend.

I also loved how Heatwave (Dominic Purcell) and his daughter Lita (Mina Sundwall) had some bonding time on the broken time ship. At least we kind of see that Lita is better smart-wise than Heatwave, but it’s nice seeing those two having some time alone.

As for the hellhound, Constantine (Matt Ryan) sent it back to Hell. I loved seeing the animations in making the hellhound talk, it was awesome.
