Alright my readers ,this episode was great! This episode had everything we need and more! Let’s get to this review!
In this episode, we had a speedster return to cause more trouble. Yes people, Godspeed (BD Wong) returned to cause more chaos.
All I can say is, it’s about time he returned. I know he’s not the actual “big bad” for the season. However, he could’ve been. I am hoping that we get the real Godspeed by next season. (I guess we shall see though!)
In the episode, Barry/The Flash(Grant Gustin) breaks the news to everyone in Team Flash about the new Mirror Master (Efrat Dor.), while still needing to figure out a way to get everyone back. The team also needed to figure out how to deal with Godspeed. The team recruits once again Hartley Rathaway/Pied Piper (Andy Mientus) but can he be trusted?
We know because of the episode after Crisis, Pied Piper is treating Barry as an enemy and no longer an ally. The only thing we didn’t know is why. Good news is the writers wrote that in for this episode. Turns out Barry made Pied Piper’s boyfriend, Rodrick Smith (Joel Semande), get into a bit of a situation. When Joel fought against Barry during the new timeline, his molecules became unstable.
After a little team up, Barry and Pied Piper were able to fight against Godspeed. Godspeed turned out to be another clone version of himself. Talk about a guy who loves himself too much. It makes us wonder, are the Godspeed clones working for the real Godspeed? Or someone else? All we heard was the clone saying “we,” which means he’s working for someone. Just a wild theory, but what if Godspeed clones are working for Red Death? Red Death is the dark multiverse Batman that took The Flash’s speed. I guess we will find out by next season (hopefully).
The reason why I say “might find out next season” is because we only have one episode left. Next week is the season finale due to studio not being able to edit or film episodes 20, 21, and 22 due to the corona virus. I know what you’re thinking, the corona virus has ruined all of our television shows and you’re absolutely right. The shortened season means that we will finally have Mirror Master’s plot acted out by next week.
However, this also means we might never get an answer as to how Iris (Candice Patton), Kamilla (Victoria Park), and Singh (Patrick Sabongui) are getting out of the mirror world. For all we know, Season 7 starts out like a year later after the mirror chaos and everyone ends up being okay. Honestly, I don’t know how next season will go. Since it hasn’t filmed at all. they probably won’t be able to have Season 7 start on scheduled air date/month, which is normally October.
Next Episode: The Flash(S06E19) “Success is Assured” airs Tuesday May 12, 2020 at 8/7c on The CW.
